years ago - NC had just passed "The Bathroom Bill" (as it was known). Springsteen had a concert scheduled in NC 2 or 3 days after the Bill passed - and he cancelled the concert in protest.
He left 20K+ people in a lurch, who had likely been making plans around that concert for months. The dude should have played that concert and then said "I ain't coming back." Lots of celebrities use their platforms to push their political beliefs, I guess. But I always thought he gave the finger to his fans that day...
