ever heard of Edgars in the Student Union?
Yes, we had beer on campus, our own bar !

Was in Johnstone E and were facing the old Edgar's exit where the drunks would come stumbling out at 2 AM. We'd freak em out with a laser pointer from the window.
Young and stupid we were. But it was fun.

Used to be if you looked out from the logia you saw Johnstone straight ahead, the campus bookstore to the right and Edgars a bit to the left....Power plant beyond Johnstone, Valley beyond that .

game room. Bowling alley past it, underneath student union. Well, that's the best that I can remember it from the 80's.
The "Logia". I asked two recent graduates about that and they had never heard of it. We used to hang out there and watch MTV-predecessor one day a week.

one of the stupidest things our country has ever done.
Edgars was just proof that drinking responsibly was OK and not something you did hidden so you wouldn't get an MIP.
Both my daughters recently graduated from Clemson and I know there are a LOT more deaths and problems from drinking now than there were when I could get a beer at TTT with no more ID than my Clemson Student ID.

Jeez....I was there too early. All we had to do was sit on the ledges and play music...or go on panty raids...or terrrorize motorists by rolling lit trash barrels downtown...you know, lame stuff! lol
