Good morning everybody. How was your weekend?

Friday night, had what we needed so stayed home.
Saturday night, sharkgirl worked at Shoeless because they could still fill growlers and recipes. I mowed the lawn.
Sunday, went to Publix. Folks were well behaved and they had all but soap, hand sanitizer and paper good.

Drove to Banner Elk. Sheltered in place.
We did go for a drive to Roan Mountain but it was closed (in spite of what their website said). Watched "The Mule" sattidy night. Not a bad flick.
Pretty boring, didn't even have a beer or glass of wine last night.

Will due again because I wont have a choice.

no bike - misplaced the key, no boat - worked around the house, no booty - wife is socially isolating, and of course no ball - this $hit is getting old quick.

negative 11 billion out of 10 because Our momma dog is in heat and the daddy dog is trying HARD to get to her. Keeping them separated this time around. Ready to kill both of them. Imagine if humans had the sex drive of an in-tact male dog.

It is less than 2 months away!
The good thing about Olive Garden to go is you don't have to sit in a restaurant that smells like wet dog.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...

it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.
Friday, worked while Mrs. cleaned up the patio. Quit working around 4:30 and went out to said aforementioned patio to drink beer, eat pizza, and watch live music streams. Moved inside after dark to watch more live music streams, and drink more beer.
Saturday, chores, walked pup A LOT. Called Mom and chatted for over an hour. Took a chance and went to play LOUD rock and roll from 8-12, just 4 of us there and maintained social distancing protocols. Hopefully, not for the last time before the collapse of civilization, because I don't want to have to split time being a warlord AND a traveling minstrel.
Sunday, did absolutely nothing but split time taking long hikes with the pup and watching TV. Watched a few episodes of Tiger King, which could very well be the most insane true story in a world of regularly broadcast insane stories. Made big pot of Ramen with the last of the fresh veggies, watched Walking Dead, then crashed.
I guess since we're all still healthy, I give the weekend 19/19 Covids.

Sunday: Moved 2000 sqft of flooring to the house. Monday: Mowed the lawn for the first time this year. Spring break is over, so baby girl headed back to Wilmington. Tuesday: Baby girl gets the notice to pack her #### up. School is closing for the semester. Do you mean to tell me you educated ####### dip ##### couldn't make this call on Sunday? Rant over Wednesday: No it's not. Get a call from baby girl. She feels terrible. She might have the the flu. Thursday: Drive to Wilmington to help her pack and return home. Four hours down, four hours back. Friday: It might actually be an appendicitis. Let's go spend some time in the emergency room petri dish to get it checked out. Tests came back negative. Saturday: Started drinking. Sunday: Continued drinking. It ain't easy being cooped up with a socialist germaphobe. I'd take 12.5 bullets for my wife or any of my girls because they mean that much to me. But Lord you are trying me. Monday: It's suppose to rain all day. I'm still heading down to the dock with some beers and practice social distancing.
I'm doing well, how about you guys?

fri - worked a little late, chilled with the wife. cooked up some flank steak that was the ( . Y . ) with some leftover veggies we had. - 7.5/10
sattidy - woke up early and put a boston booty on the smoker. ran to lowes and grabbed some trim boards before the zombie covid crowds could get there. finished the shingles that morning, then started on the trim work for the doors. got the man door done before time to eat.
had some friends over for supper, and needed a buddy to help hang doors. we purchased a driving range matt and some foam balls for redneck topgolf. there are some tweaks for sure, but luckily we gots time to think of a good game.
pulled pork was amazeballs. made some coleslaw and had some fries - 8/10
sun - took leftover pulled pork and made brunswick stew. finished hanging second door, put wife to work spreading some fertilizer before it rained (little late to that party). brunswick stew was up there with the best I've had. massage and sheet wrastlin before bed time. - 9/10

I had one expedition to the BILO early Sun morning which ended in tears. No bread, price gouging on every isle and spent 35 bucks for not much of anything.
I paid 6 bucks for a bag of pinto beans and 6 bucks for a lb of bacon to season them. Plenty of fruit but I had plenty of fruit going in.
Sorry times for us pofolk but what's changed?

Thank goodness the golf course is still "open" or would be going bananas. Open is in " " because the pro shop is closed, there are no pins or bunker rakes, water coolers are taken up. Open only for walking play, but I will take it (I prefer to walk anyway). Not sure how much longer this will last before it is shut down completely.
Fri - Wife pis$ed at me over something stupid from the night before. Walked 18 holes, not much else.
Sat - Wife still mad, but not quite as much as Friday. Kroger run, have the freezer fairly well stocked and was able to procure some toilet paper and paper towels. Met a couple bros and walked 8 holes. Sat on the porch afterwards with them and a couple other people drinking beer and shooting the shid. At a reasonable distance apart, of course.
Sun - Wife normal and realizing (hopefully) that she is an idiot sometimes (lol, yeah right). Took the little one out and walked 3 holes. Leftovers for supper and cleaned up a little around the abode.
6/10, which includes +1 for still being able to play golf.

probably only time that I will run into Tony Elliot on the d i k e
Walking dogs with friends and wifeof on Friday evening, Coach Elliot strolls up with his wife and 2 young boys. We are drinking beers and throwing the balls for the dogs. Wifeof asked "is that...", I said yep. She said to him, "what are you doing without football?", and his answer was "this is it".
He throws the football down the d i k e to his kids and his wife was like, you sure that is safe? One of his kids was a little weary about a wet dog coming up the hill near him, but luckily Bear was more interested in getting back in the water than harassing a kid.
They hung out for a little bit, seemed to get bored, and walked away. I yelled Go Tigers at him and he returned it in kind.
the end

Planning on trying to fight the rain to put in the garden today.
