Why do dems like football?

It violates their key tenets of life, by
- using meritocracy where the best players play and lesser players get fired; don’t you people care about the jobs and lives of players 54-100? And why can’t someone that worked so hard and overcame horrible circumstances as a child have a roster spot? You must just not care about others like I do. Horrible.
- not being diverse - where everyone knows and the science is settled that only diverse organizations can survive; but somehow, someway the NFL gets around the Law of Diversity and do not reflect the demographics of their city, state, or nation. I for one support diversity and if you don’t, well, you will have to live with your conscience.
So, hypocrites, turn the Super Bowl off!

the other satirically mocking you.
And you choose to respond to your own post about how you think you've triggered people? Ironically I bet the halftime show triggered you.

Did it have enough diversity for you? That was a classic that will go down in the history books of great performances.
I just love how you dumbufcks can't see yourselves in the mirror and keep doubling down on the insanity.

It is the end of the day, so I will chime in. I don’t want to assume anything, but from your statement above you are trying to make the comparison of the NFLs hiring practice with that of a company or group/s hiring practices that have included Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) goals/ initiatives. The point being is that the NFL does not bother with the “DEI Stuff” because they hire the of the best of the best to play, regardless of sex, race, etc. See example of whatever team you want; their demographic breakdown is not in line with the surrounding population as proof. Did I interpret that correctly? If so, I am not sure that the NFL is a good baseline to use. Because I think its pretty obvious that the degree of analysis that goes into the selection or hiring of a NFL player is more in depth that what a typical company would use when hiring a typical employee, regardless of the industry or position. I mean, would you not agree that the players that make it to the NFL are meticulously poked, prodded, and evaluated both from a physicality standpoint (Combine/ Player work out days), evaluation of their performance on the field (profolio of game tapes showing performance), and mental evaluations (wonderlick testing, etc). Players are highly evaluated when being selected. When I got my job with a Nuclear Power Company, I had 1 interview. I spoke 2 different engineers. Before I made it to the interview, I submitted a resume, and I also uploaded my Professional License card. I think that was it. I did not provide them with a profolio or samples of my previous calculations, or drawings, or any other deliverable that I developed over my 11 year career. I was asked to manage the Civil Engineering group that included 8 engineers ( 7 were white, 1 was black. No Asians, No women). This was a similar breakdown for the Mechanical, and Electrical groups. You have to ask yourself, are there no black people, or women that graduated with a engineering degree from a Tier 1 state school, with 10 years of experience, and had a professional license? I am betting that across every demographic there are candidates that have the same credentials that I provided. Why did I get the job? The point I am trying to make is that I have sat in and participated in the hiring of engineering candidates. If the only info that you are given is a resume and a interview you are limited on how you can truly evaluate a prospective employee. If you have 2 candidates that both have a mechanical engineering degree from Clemson, same number of years’ experience, and same certifications, how do you “determine” who the best candidate is. (ie Merrit Based) I think its safe to say that when hiring people you surround yourself with employees that look, talk, have similar understandings of issue as yourself. Because I am white, I would likely gravitate to a white candidate. Its not racist. It is just a naturally occurring bias. What I would tell myself is that I related better to that person. Not everyone does this. But regarding a large group or company, I think that is the concern. A “group” the size of the federal government makes 100s of decisions like this a day. If the managers are primarily white/ men, it likely will result in the hiring of more white men candidates. I don’t think the folks doing the hiring are “racist”. It is just how they come to that decision. Initiatives like DEI are just trying to push people to step outside the comfort zone. I would have to concede that In some instances, it unfortunately means the best candidate does not get hired. But it also does not mean that companies that do use DEI initiatives don’t hire qualified candidates. Its just an attempt to remove our blinders. I don’t see why this is a liberal versus conservative thing. So the whole democrats should hate football because.... , just does not seem to be a valid statement.
Just my thoughts.
If I did not interpret your post correctly, I apologize in advance.
