They’re actually stupid enough to believe Trump is turning the military against citizens of Portland because of “bad information.” Like, if only they could get him to see the truth, that Portland isn’t actually “war-ravaged,” he would suddenly change his mind and call off the dogs. They need to wake up and realize Trump’s goal is total occupation of every blue city, and he will use any pretext, real or imagined, to do it. This has nothing to do with what is actually happening, and is only about seizing control of Democrat areas.

They’re hoping for a violent response so they can invoke the Insurrection Act. Maybe they will have better luck in Portland. Still a win for them though, they are trying to normalize this with people before the midterms.

And associated crime hits the rural trailer parks pretty hard. And domestic violence doesn’t seem to be limited to the cities. Finally the cities in Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, SC etc. have similar high crime rates.
The MAGA outrage on crime seems selective and solutions limited to talking points to incite the emotions of their base.

Trust me, Oregonians know exactly what Republicans are up to with deployment of national guard troops. Republicans created this situation, Republicans are spending millions of tax dollars paying national guard to occupy Blue cities. It's absolute stupidity on the republican's part to "Bend a Knee" to this kind of abuse of power. Republicans are simply coward.
To many people say this is Trump doing this or Trump doing that.... The majority in congress is "Taking a Knee"... It's that simple.

Total BS as for the outcry from Democrat leadership that ‘Trump is trying to take over cities in blue states to suppress voter turnout.’
The frenzy from the Democrats is their recognition that a strong law & order presence in their crime ridden, economic wasteland cities will be greatly reduced.
If Trump’s troops were allowed into these criminal incubator blue cities, then the non-criminal population will see healthy vibrancy restored in their cities. The easily recognized major improvement in the lives of the non-criminal citizens would be a resounding repudiation of the Democrat policies that allowed crime to burgeoning. For every major city where the Democrats see a decrease in support of 10% of their voters, then along with that will be losses of some gerrymandered congressional seats and, in some swing states, losses of Democrat US Senate seats.
The Democrat Party knows this. They are in too deep into the ‘all things Trump wants must be fascist’ to say ‘hey, let’s try this law & order thingy and see if it helps.’ Their only hope is to keep federal assistance for law & order to never come to the blue cities.
