I see the Judge’s pulse is fading fast,

reminds me of that ?? in that big house in Washington DC.
He really hit a new low last night for blaming the fans in a game against the worst program in the league, at home, in which we were favored to win by 10.5 and had a 23 point first half lead in.
Pathetic act by him!!! He sees the writing on the wall though and is acting like a cornered animal blaming everyone but the actual one who deserves the blame. So sad!!!

I don’t know why this is so hard for people to understand.

We aren’t a basketball school. We are unabashedly a football school, including being proud of how well we support it. The downside of that is that it keeps us from supporting basketball as well as many other schools.
We have earned a reputation for not caring about basketball. Just as Clemson uses other schools’ lack of football support against them, other schools use our lack of basketball support against us. Recruits aren’t dumb, they know it too. No amount of coaching prowess or recruiting pizzazz is going to change that until the administration and fans do better.
You can’t have your cake and eat it too. If you always want football to be THE priority, the one and only priority, then you can’t expect a basketball coach to magically win at a high and consistent level.
It’s unlikely to find another coach that will win more than Brownell has given our current level of support for basketball. And if we do luck into someone, our chances of keeping them here are slim.
Haven’t we learned anything from 100+ years of basketball at Clemson?!?

Nothing to see here, let’s keep accepting pathetic mediocrity. Those who tell the truth don’t have high pulses here, we all know that!!!

I didn’t say anything about blaming the fans for last night’s loss.

I thought the crowd was solid last night. I felt sorry for everyone there who had to witness such a bad loss.

Judge is not responsible for the basketball team. I agree with many of his points. Brownell is a good x and o coach for most of all games except for the final minutes. Maybe it’s a depth or management issue but one persons opinion on a message board is not the cause of our woes.

True. It’s not how fast you get out of the gate but where you are at the finish.

not only wins and losses, graduation rates, character but also how the game strategy played out in games we lost when in position to win. If there is not ownership of flops with constructive ideas on how he could have done better.... then we know what needs to be done.... Basketball or baseball! Every Clemson fan in attendance needs to feel that we are going to be in every game until the end of the game if we expect the attendance to grow and the team(s) to be adequately supported. I love Clemson football basketball, and baseball right now but certainly understand the frustrations shared on Tigernet. Go Tigers! Remember "Best is the Standard".... in effort and performance and results.

Agreed 100%. Best should also be the standard in how we support basketball at Clemson.

It’s disingenuous to expect a great program while funding it like a bottom third ACC team.

Everyone needs to be a bit more charitable to JK. Disagree with him, call him out, point out his mistaken observations, but Anonymous TDs are childish. Save those for the coots that lurk on our board.

I do hold the fans partly responsible for not supporting basketball better. However, the administration is mostly to blame for continuing to fund basketball at an unacceptably low rate.
