in clemson basketball.
just when you think we have turned the corner and this could be great and everybody is
exited and we lose at home to a 12 win gt team.
can not linger on this loss cause duke will be ready to pounce.

In a season that includes 30 plus games, you’re going to have an off night or two.
I can’t believe some of you continue to think this is unique to Clemson.

All losses are disappointing. But I understand what you mean. So I looked at just a few teams. This is by no means saying teams don't lose games they shouldn't, but even decent teams don't do it often.
We beat Wake. They have 6 losses. Only 1 against an unranked team. And that unranked team is 14-9 (Xavier).
Louisville beat us. They are 16-6. Only 1 loss against an unranked team. That unranked team is 16-6. (Oklahoma)
Maryland who has been ranked about even with us has 2 losses to unranked teams. They also have 3 wins against ranked teams.
We have 3 losses to unranked teams. 2 are bad losses. We have beaten 1 ranked team and they just got their 7th loss yesterday.
So either we are not as good as we think we are or we are not well coached at times. Or some mixture of the 2. I think we have the players. Other teams just do better winning the games they should while also pulling out a few games they shouldn't win.

Boys looked off last night after a quick turnaround between games. Normally we shoot better, and we certainly rebound better. Rebounding is an extra effort task, and we were not up for it. We have an even shorter turnaround between Duke and unc games. Our boys have played well this year, but last night was not our night.

wasnt just last nite, we have not rebounded well all year and have not shot the ball well in back to back games. Last nite was not a typical loss, it was the preview to one of the biggest games in Clemson basketball history and we crapped the bed and blew the whole deal. Had to beat Teach and at least play a good game against Duke. Now we are facing pressure of trying to beat duke or risk being bumped back to the bubble with a blowout loss. Sitting at an 8 seed right now, is precarious . a win last nite and we still get a 4-5 seed with a strong finish. Now we have to fight to avoid a 8-10 seed with much tougher opponent in 1st round. Hope i am wrong but Duke will crush us on the glass and Flagg will contribute a career high !! Duke probably wins by 20+
