As you may have seen, we rolled out a new feature last week, "post awards". You can award posts using TNET coins™, which is a new digital site currency (not crypto). We gave out over 10 million TNET coins™ to current and former donors / premium members. The more years you were a premium member, the more coins you received.
How do I get TNET coins™?
See the TNET coins™ page for details
How can I award a post?
* Click the military_tech icon in the lower right to the left of the thumbs up and down inside a post.
* You will see your TNET coins™ balance in the lower left corner and a link to buy more coins if you are short.
* Select the award you want to give, click next and if everything looks right, click the give award button (click the anonymous checkbox if you want to remain so)
Thumbs Up / Thumbs Down
TU and TD are now part of the awards system. As requested for many years, we will now show the TDs given to a post in addition to the TUs, but it will be for premium members.

Click on the "Star Medal" next to the reply button. You should see a popup containing all the awards available. Your balance is in the lower left side.

Plus you will need to shrink your page size down to about 80% to see everything on that page. Or that's what I have to do bc I use a Dell 13" laptop that sets comfortably in my lap.

The main purpose of having TDs not be completely free is to discourage TD bandits from TDing every post by a certain author that they just don't like.
But there may be other ways of doing that and TDs may end up being free again for certain members.

after the first week we realized it was kind of breaking the economy due to the sheer number of TUs given daily, so we had to nix that.

or being counted incorrectly, why is it not set up to show who gave one of the "special awards"? It shows that one was awarded, but not who awarded it, at least not that I have ever seen.
