Grisham and WRs

Is it safe to say that if Grisham was truly failing to teach fundamentals to our WR crops that Dabo would step in to correct it himself? Dabo used to be a WR coach and understands the position well.
Just like how Dabo is taking some playcalling duties from Streeter on offense right now, I imagine he has a hand in teaching the WRs.
Seeing Antonio Williams look electric as a freshman WR has me wondering if we just missed on a few WR classes in recent years.

True, considering Ngata and Ladson were supposed to be the next phenoms. Ngata still can be. Powell and Overton were too but kinda got behind some great talent.
It's tough especially when one or two have always seemed to be missing time with injuries.
Plus the fact that Dabo told us last year, everyone has to be on assignment each play. DJ had a wide open receiver in Furman game and threw underneath.

Good point!!!
Could some of it be that we're not in as many 2nd and 4, 2nd and 2 situations as before. I think the homerun hits for WR is due in part because we don't have artavis or Amari. Keep hoping that spec or Taylor will break out and emerge as a dominant threat.

Too me the WRs are performing less, yes. They have had their jumó ball opportunities however. In the last, we caught those. J Ross and Tee would get them one handed. We drop them this year and last year. Lots of drops and failed 50/50 balls. We don’t scare anyone now. That’s the difference.

My mind goes to Amari Rodgers. He was able to get separation and TL was able to hit him in stride on those long bombs. Tee Higgins had a couple too but he was more of the 50/50 Mike Williams type IMO.

No one on the offense passes the eye test. The coaches are failing at every position.

Dabo would absolutely step in and coach them up if and when he felt it was needed. AW is going to be a good one. Unfortunately, our WR's were crippled by injuries last year. Ngata has done some good things, EJ seems to have regressed. Randall will be a great addition.

I don't know how much of our WRs struggles can be blamed on Grisham.
Amari and Cornell played exceptionally well Grisham's first year. Both of them improved their draft stock.
Spector redshirted his first year, then missed back to back seasons. This is his first year playing meaningful snaps since he was a senior in high school.
Ross, Ngata, Ladson, and EJ were all injury prone. Grisham can't help with that. It's hard to judge him off their performances. Plus, they are all the same type of WR, and were forced to be on the field together.
Beaux appears like he'll be really good. Dacari showed flashes last year. Stellato can't stay healthy. Taylor has never played the position before.
Antonio looks like he's going to be legit. The coaches have raved about Randall. Cole Turner is the fastest WR on the team, supposedly, but he has only played football for two years.
EJ, Ngata, and Beaux have all struggled making contested catches this year. But how much is that Grisham's fault? Coaches can't make their players catch better.

How many years have to go by with poor WR play before we get to blame Grisham? The WRs last season weren't playing well BEFORE the injuries. Amari and Cornell were in this program under Jeff's Tutelage for many seasons so I'm not going to give Tyler credit for their 2020 seasons. Not to mention that 2020 was maybe one of the worst seasons for WR's since the Clemson offense was implemented. 2020 was the first season a Clemson WR didn't average 17 ypCatch since 2011. The only season worse was 2021.

Most people here blame injuries last year because

that's the easier scapegoat.
As you stated, the issues at WR (and on offense as a whole) preceded the injury bug.
