perfect form tackle. Definitely looks like he played some ball prior to his LEO career...

Really funny when the chucklehead protestor thought he would go 'dead weight' and the officer just picked his whiny a.s.s. up and carried him off...

LOL. See what you hit, indeed. Definitely a former linebacker, there.
It offends me on a very basic level to see American kids wearing the headscarves of jihadist terrorists who would absolutely kill them were they ever to encounter them out in the world.
It's like: yo, chuckleheads. Pick. Better. Causes.
And this one is just plain weird. Everybody's comparing it to Vietnam, but it really isn't...you at least understand why nobody wanted to go halfway around the world to get their a$$es shot off in a jungle they neither wanted nor needed and why the Flower Power brigade was protesting it.
But the Zoomers making ####### of themselves today have zero skin in the game in regards to Isreal. I have no idea why on Earth they're so fixated on it...but frankly, it feels artificial, almost like Russia and China and Iran have basically hijacked their social media and are pouring disinformation and poison into their eyeballs. Which is exactly what I suspect is happening.

It really does feel like they're leading the fringes around by the nose.
This sh!t's been absolutely hammering us for eight-plus years now. Connecting to the world and being able to allow great minds to cooperate and exchange is awesome. The problem is all the world's bad actors are plugged in now too...and they have basically unfettered access to pour their poisonous crap into the eyes and ears of those susceptible to the messaging. Granted, there's plenty of populist politicos on both sides of the aisle who are all too willing to lead into those tropes and echo them, but we're also being had on a mass scale right now and we're not even remotely defending ourselves. And I cannot help but feel it's the politicians being led by their angry constituents and not the other way around.
This viral lunatic crap is getting out of control on both extremes.

I watched that one guy get carried off about 20 times.
Got to admit there's a bit of satisfaction hearing the a-hole claim he's getting hurt (when he wasn't) then try to slide to the ground and the trooper picking him up like a sack-a-taters and hauling him off.

I think it's pathetic people have nothing better to do with their time than create these protests, and I think it's sad when others take pleasure in watching them get muscled around. All of it's just bad humanity.

Definitely pathetic, but the guy being carried off was just trying to make a scene and ended up looking like what he is. The protests over the last few years have gotten so loud that I just can't hear them anymore.

“Fantasize” about it? There is so much personal and departmental liability involved, it’s insane. 99.9% of police want NOTHING to do with this crap cause of the litigious and hysterical social media issues it brings.
You just hate the police and that is fine, it’s your prerogative, but just stop veiling it as “cops with wet dreams of tackling dudes”.

So now just LOL."
The protestors are idiots and all of you getting excited about them getting taken out by police are suspect, too.
I remember y'all crying and whining about how the Jan. 6 people were treated. Oh yeah. You were cheering them on. Oh, but when they're protestors for a cause you hate, then you want violence.

Is that your way of saying you aren't giddy about violence against the protestors?
Because my assumption is this, and correct me if wrong:
1. You supported Jan. 6 and were pissed off when law enforcement used force against them but...
2. You're cool with them using whatever force now.
And I don't GAF if cops here have to use force against some of these guys; it's just not something I'm gonna get all excited about. The whole thing is a stupid mess. Someone's probably going to wind up getting killed.

1) No. You can’t breach the doors of the chamber. I said that I would have liked to be at the rally to support Trump cause we all knew he would run again. Not backing down from that. You don’t break doors, tear down barriers, etc.. I am with you on that 100%. You have to respect the law, the institution and all that comes with that. I probably would have attended the rally and then got hammered (if not already) at a Georgetown bar.
2) I am cool with using force when necessary. It’s a constant struggle in the brain. When to not use force. When to use force. It split second decisions. You absolutely cant Monday morning quarterback this stuff.

So, in the USA, why should a protestor be tackled and carried away again?

The tackle may have been excessive. Depending if the guy being tackled said or yelled something that that indicated he may put the officer or someone else in danger. If the university wants people removed from a field (especially a private university), then if the people will not move, the only way to make them leave is to remove them. I had no problem with the police carrying the guy. He seemed to only use necessary force in that situation.

Protesting shouldn't be a crime, especially on government-funded property.

I think that's at Emory. And even if it's Government funded (like say an Interstate), you still can't violate the law to protest (like say, blocking traffic). If you are violating the law, then you are no longer peaceably assembling.
