UNC will easily beat ND and end ACC opportunity to make playoffs no matter what happens in ACC Championship ... that's my take.
ND played gutty -- give them credit - but ND is far from a high caliber team ...

Far from it. ACC with one loss can very easily be shut out. Bama and Ohio St are gimmes. TX A&M has beat Florida and will end season with one loss. Pac 12, Big 12 are in play, and BYU and Cincy will be undefeated.

Come on. Those guys aren’t don’t make the playoffs when they play a gall schedule and have overhyped teams. They’re not getting the nod by winning a conference WithI no top 10 teams and two ranked teams in a 7 game schedule over a one loss, 11-1 ACC champ whose only loss is to #4 ND in 2 OT without our QB and several defensive starters.
The Big 12, ditto.
Win and we are in. You guys worry too much.

No it won’t. Clemson was without at least 4 starters. It was a close game and Clemson plays 3 more games than anyone in the Big 10 and 4 games more than the PAC 12. An 11-1 Clemson team makes the playoffs.

our run game is not playoff caliber. Off week is coming at a good time as we need some time to heal and hopefully prepare for the final stretch. This loss hurts but we weren't blown out the stadium and lost to another highly ranked team while having to play with a ton of backups.

We'll see. I hope you're right. I've got Bama, Ohio St, BYU, Cincy, Oregon going undefeated with TX A&M with one loss, and ND is a very average team that UNC will beat at home. And most of the country, media and poll voters pull against Clemson.

The committee is not putting that crappy BYU schedule or a 7-0 Oregon team in over an 11-1 Clemson team (if Clemson runs the table), especially if Clemson gets to avenge the Notre Dame game. Clemson will be given plenty of slack especially considering the two game absence of Trevor and the overall strange college football landscape of 2020. And an 11-1 ACC Champion Clemson certainly gets in over A&M.
Now, all that said, the Tigers have some issues:
1. Injuries that have largely been avoided in recent years.
2. The run blocking has been mediocre all season and was further exposed tonight.

Syracuse is krypronite fro Clemson. I hate that team.... They began this crappy playing from our Tigers. Tonight was actually decent game but defense is horrendous at times and we simply aren’t used to it. Defense gets the stops when needed, but not tonight. Missing too many big players!!! Sad night

We have TL16 going for us, and that may be enough, except for that I believe most of the country wants their teams to get a shot and the pollsters and media feel the same.

Yeah it’s interesting the OP said UNC will easily beat ND. I watched the game last night thinking there’s no way we can beat ND or Clemson. We can score but our D can not stop anybody. We also have several key injuries on D. Of course, by now everybody has injuries to deal with so I’m not making an excuse. Even fully healthy we will not stop ND. The championship will be a rematch of ND/ Clemson and the winner will go to the playoffs.

I'm not all in on ND as a quality team. Strong in the trenches against our bench LB's ... limited skill players. ND beating Louisville 12-7 does not inspire confidence. I hope to eat crow, but we'll see what happens.
