I have a buddy who is a good attorney. I kid him all the time about getting out of tsffic stops because he is a lawyer.
He flat out told me one time in all seriousness.
He treats cops the same way every one should. Do what they say and be polite.
You argue with a judge in a court room, not to a cop on the side of the rd.

Geeville, hard to argue with that logic. I guess it's how I was raised. I have always been respectfully to Police. I have admittedly had a lead foot at times. Almost all the police have been courteous to me as I to them. Sometimes I even got off with a warning. I was even detained once after a scuffle near an Army base as they didn't much care for us Jarheads talking to their women folk. I was still respectful, and we were told to go home. Point it all those things could have been worse. The one thing all had in common was me doing something i shouldn't have. But by being polite things sure did go a lot smoother.

Agreed actually. I'm quite the fan of violence and often see people in desperate need of experiencing some firsthand.

No Thanks, not really how it works. It does work however for the ones who break laws, resist lawful arrests, and seem to think it's part of their rights. Break laws, attempt to injure police, fall down a lot. Playstupid games, win stupid prizes. That's all I'm saying.

Yes, I love it when the state is in control. I hate having to make rational decisions on my own.
The more power to the state, the better.
The weird thing is, most of you call yourselves "conservatives", as if the meaning of that term completely eludes you.

Oh I have been places where the State has all the power, and some where it has none. Neither one is optimal for sure. But having seen all these places first hand, I am pretty sure bad people are everywhere. There. Here. More moving here every day. It's all good however. I don't like to non-football up the board so my apologies.

Me either. You're more cordial than you originally came on. I'm in agreement for the most part, but don't see why people were threatening to boycott the ESPYs earlier, hence the subject of the thread.

Ehhh. I'm devious. Lol. I have no problem admitting I'm comfortable with my lack of a conscience. It's been a plus for my career, BUT I havery and always will maintain, most (Not all, but MOST) posters that say they don't or will never watch ESPN are full of it. Before I get blasted by someone, ok buddy..sure. But here is how I look at it. If Clemson is playing FSU at 8:00 and they don't have tickets, best believe 98.7% have their butts in the lazy boy to watch the game. Playoff selection. Show? Yup, right there. Pre-Season Show? Same. I don't cut off my nose to spite my face. I'm betting most everyone else does too. Still not a fan of bringing a political message to a sports show, but I don't usually watch any of those award type shows as that's what they usually are anyway.
