They are pizzing up a rope.

From the beginning it's been believed that to have a team in the playoff the ACC must provide an undefeated team for consideration.
It appears that ESPiN is trying to make sure that stands for the ACC remains the conference which has the weakest SOS. That will change when UF becomes a force and continues to remain 'prey,' for FSU. Another, and perhaps the biggest factor may be UM and VT getting back to previous form. USuCk falling off the charts isn't helping.
I'm not worried, if Clemson can't win our schedule the probability that we'll win a playoff game isn't high.

I wasted about 20 minutes of my life watching college football live and they said that Ohio State has the best chance to win it all again, because after the opener against VT, their next tough game comes in week 11. That is against Michigan St. and then the next game is Michigan. How can the Big 10 be so good if they offer OSU no competition for at least 7-8 games prior?

heck, they ('bama) lost to a team with a qb making his second career start, and on top of that gave up a record for most yards gained by a rb (ezekial elliot, osu - 230 yds.).
not much to brag about if you ask me!!!

"Deserved to be there"
Hmm. I'd say Bama, Oregon, and FSU deserved to be there. So did TCU. Ohio State was lucky to get in, and got hot at the right time. It's true that FSU stumbled in, but they didn't lose a game. Thank goodness style points don't matter. Just win.

Hey Garnetswarm1990.
You're right, they also said FSU didn't belong in 2013 and they beat the best the SEC had to offer.
You and all the SEC homers also said OSU didn't belong last year but they smacked the best the SEC had to offer.
So to be fair, you're a moron.

I hate FSU as much as anyone - but come on man, they were undefeated/on a 29 or 30 game winning streak/coming off an undefeated National Championship season, in which - GASP - they beat an SEC team for the Crystal Ball
Go back to FGF and waller in your soon to be losing season...

it is to hate on the poor idgits that come from ColaTown.
Seriously, you guys really need to think about moving your school to Mobile or Dothan as much as you guys kiss ### to the Tide. I honestly can't wait to see your pizz-ant school freakin' humiliated again and again this year.
Then maybe, just maybe, people like you who have nothin' to do but spout off nonsense about everyone else's team will just crawl back into the hole you came from.

Saw where they were saying how ND wasnt a real contender for the playoff this year because they had such a tough schedule..... UVA, Clemson, GT, BC, WF. And they kept saying how tough Navy was going to be.
When have you EVER heard them say how tough any ACC schedule is?
Just blows my mind.

A one loss Clemson team could still get in depending on the other top 6 or so teams.
It's completely ridiculous to project who gets left out before a snap is even played.

in favor of a two loss SEC team. That's what pi$$es me off about all the Espin hype. And what pi$$es me off about a 4 team playoff with 5 major conferences. Expand the playoff, guarantee all 5 conference champs a spot...that will take most of the hype & subjectivity out of the equation.

I think as long as ACC teams beat teams they play in OOC the ACC will be fine. That doesn't just mean beating the easy G5 teams though, those are expected. Winning against opponents that are ranked higher than us from other P5 conferences are the key to winning over the media's perception of us for the playoffs.

Disney put a lot of money in the SEC and they are going to use all their marketing prowess to try and influence the media and the playoff committee.
