If you cant tackle and take terrible angles on every play, you're gonna suck on defense. Also, it helps to have a special teams unit that doesnt concede 70 yards on consecutive drives.
We had that game in our hands and handed it over without a fight.

All of a sudden, incapable of kicking it out of the endzone
And, just like last year, the defense is terrible...not only no improvement, may actually be worse.

Yep, our angles were atrocious! Fundamentals were very very poor. We constantly over run plays/ball carriers. Gotta get that fixed and fixed soon.

I think its important that the BV haters realize that this was an execution issue and not a coaxhing issue. Im rewatching the defensive series right now...and were at double digit missed tackles before the first half is over.
And when we're not missing tackles, were 5+ yards away from the football. Pass rush is also disturbing.
I know ill be called a dumper, but we have some serious talent and execution issues on D. Im not a Steele fan, but I feel sorry for him for being the scapegoat last year.

? There's nothing I can do besides hope that we can get better.
I know its not popular to provide an objective evaluation of the game around here, but what we saw tonight is what it is. FSU has a pretty good offense, but its hard to win games when you give up 35 second hakf points.
Ill be pulling hard for the tigers next week like always...doesnt mean i cant state my concerns instead of accepting somw sort of moral victory for giving away the football game to the #4 team in the nation.

and are physically manhandled. Harsh, but true. There were several plays where FSU just trucked Clemson defenders at every spot. They looked like falling dominoes on several running plays.

Yep. People talk ish about Koenning, but I would kill for a defense that physical righ now.
