Commercials, promos, hosts reading adds.

I missed the last hour of Walt’s show a few days ago and went back later to listen on the podcast and there was like 10 minutes of actually sports talk for the last 45 mins. Zoomed through the commercials, item bid stuff and his reads. Well over half the time.

Yes! I suppose they try to keep the rates low so more companies can be involved, but this probably results in longer commercial breaks. They also leave for the break with an in-studio commercial ("We've got callers on the other side of the break, but first let me tell you about my good friends at Clemson Sock Shop. "Then, there's ~a 4 minute break, and they return with, "Last segment of the day, but first let me share my personal weight loss journey with PhD Weight Loss." It winds up being a 5+ minute break every time.

with ads of some kind or another. I know they have to pay the bills but I usually don’t like wasting 10-12 minutes listening to ads so I turn it and forget to go back.
