If he got a medical redshirt last season, I think so. Otherwise, I don't think so.

As I read it he has another year after this one. 2020 year and a medical redshirt.

I think he is out of eligibility. He was supposed to take a medical redshirt last year but ended up playing in 5 games instead of 4.

Was the Gator Bowl one of the 5? If so, he didn't use a year of eligibility.***

from his bio:
2023: Took a mid-career injury redshirt after spending most of the season recuperating from shoulder surgery … credited with one tackle (0.5 for loss) in 23 snaps over five games … made season debut at NC State … made one tackle at South Carolina.

He played 4 games in 2020 and 5 in 2021 - not sure if they screwed up by playing him against USC in 2021 or if he gets a 5th year of playing due to COVID on top of 2020 rs year.

Pretty sure he does.
Capehardt is the one without eligibility at the end of this season. He came in 1 or 2 recruiting cycles ahead of Tre.
Nobody expected Tre to start this year because he missed most of last season with an injury. I believe next season is his last year of eligibility.

Capehart and Williams came in the same year 2020

The COVID year. Williams absolutely has another year if he wants it. Capehart is a bit of a question mark as he appeared in 5 regular season games in 2021. However, he only appeared in 4 in 2020 so the question is can he count that as RS year and still get a +1 COViD bonus year next year or get a special exception due to some injury based on only playing 5 in 2021. Not sure Capehart would stick for extra year even if possible.

One or both of these guys could also do a Nyles Pinckney.

It’s a position where we have young guys that are ready to spread their wings. Green Burley, Brown-Shuler, etc. still would love to see one of them stay 1 more year.

I didn't realize he and Capehart came on board in the same year. I keep waiting for Williams to break-out. When he's healthy all I hear about is how good he is.
