Multiple choice question..... distractors are....
a) Because nobody likes Bama!
b) Because Clemson is just that awesome
c) The answers is the same as what's at the bottom of a black hole
d) both a and b are correct

You realize that all the other teams don't eat at the WH? This was a new twist? Trump was having fun. Normally it's an hour outside and hour inside tour with handshake from prez. Trump took time for this team, it's awesome! Idiots trying to ruin the moment for the team!

Who said that the food was cold--I bet they had a police escort to get the foo to the WH
Oh BTW- It was NOT about the food anyway!
I would pay my own way to eat a "cold Burger" with the leader of the free World!
It didn't matter what he serve the Libs were going to Roast him! Keep moving nothing to see here!
The Team had a great trip, that is what matters! and to prove it I bet they go back NEXT year for more FAST FOOD!

Totally political, like they are going to buy $500 airline tickets each to get Strahan's free dinner. We should call his bluff and invite him to Clemson to serve his meal.

This is just as political as the White House dinner, and Strahan's invitation would not have come if Trump had not served fast food.
This whole thing is MASSIVELY stupid, and the worst part - nobody even remembers this is about a celebration of accomplishment anymore.

Dabo may jump on this. It gets the program exposure to a whole different audience. He could spin this into one hell of a message to the moms and grandmoms across the country once he gets on that platform. Of course he’s going to have to navigate ambushes on political questions, but if there’s one guy great at getting his message across it’s Dabo.

Politics aside, we should do it. We aren't "little ol Clemson" anymore - we recruit nationally and our brand is recognized worldwide. With several kids we're recruiting far from the reaches of Wyff and this Walt guy you all love so much, this is a good free promotion.

Michael Strahan! What a class act. I hope Dabo and the Clemson administration take the GMA host up on his offer. Lobster is a perfect dinner for the National Championship team! Drive/fly to NYC for a lobster dinner, heck yea! Sounds much more worthwhile than driving to DC for some fast food burgers....

I don't know, it could be used against Clemson in recruiting.
Clemson is too "hoity-toity" for burgers, fries, and pizza. They had to go to New York City and have lobster and caviar. The SEC schools would take all the recruits after that.

Sounds like Michael Strahan is taking a jab at President Trump. How many more jabs would he take once he got the team on-camera? I don't really like the idea of my alma mater becoming a political prop for the media. Maybe the university president can see this as easily as most everyone else can and he will politely decline the offer.

Yummy - Room temperature burgers, fries, and fish sandwiches. Who says college athletes don't get anything for all they do for their sport. Especially after winning the national championship. Wonder what the losers get.
This is not politics? Oh wait, Trump started this debate off by saying it was the Democrats fault that they had to serve burgers. Jeez!!

It is so sad that some of you support bad judgment at any turn. Being invited to the White house is great and the team deserved that. The timing however was quite frankly bad judgment by our president knowing that millions of Federal workers are not getting paid due to decisions made by him. This celebration should have been scheduled at a later date, after the government's issues were dealt with. Secondly, the serving of cold Big MAC, Whopper, french fries to the team was awful. Cold Fast Food really! Most of you would not feed that mess to your dog.

Don't let this go where its headed. I'll bet with the head coach we have it will be stopped before it gets started. This team worked to win a national championship and that accomplishment should stand alone with Zero politics involved. Don't reduce what has been done to a stepping stone for politicians/"celebrities" on Either side of the aisle. Casting pearls before the swine you might say.

Surely Michael Strahan needs ratings. What an a-hole to demean this team's great experience.
Although, maybe Mike could entertain them by reenacting his flop sack of Brett Favre that gave him the all time single season sack record. What a fraud!!

I'm sure there are a bunch of fine restaurants in DC who could've catered the meal, so I am not sure why he ordered out fast food. Maybe to make a point; maybe he thought it was a good meal. Who knows?
I like Strahan and frankly, I sympathize with what I think is his motivation, but I do NOT want to see college football teams, especially ours, politicized. The environment is toxic and these kids need to stay as far away as possible. I hope it is an NCAA violation so that the admin can use that as an excuse. Otherwise, if we go, get ready for the twitter storm from Trump and all of the associated mud. If we don't go, watch people read into that decision and drag Dabo et al into the mud. Either way, we get dirty.

I don't care what side of the political spectrum you fall. Strahan's offer is politically motivated. I hate the thought of our Tigers being used to push anyone's personal agenda. They got to go to DC and meet the President of the United States. Thats pretty cool whether it's Trump, Obama, or Clinton. It was an event for the players not a bunch of self righteous individuals who speculate motives. Dabo is a man of grace, intelligence, and great wisdom. I trust him to do the right thing.

This is not about being ungrateful, uppity, etc.... The meal was of poor choice. We all have an opinion about MS or the POTUS gestures, We all have an @$$h0!e. In this age of society, Everything is social media, everything is scrutinized , examined , opinionized . So stop worrying this will take care of itself in a few days. Personally I felt our Champios deserved a better meal. I also have an @$$h0!e just like everyone else does. Go Tigers!

You do know that the Lier-in-Chief was been documented as publicly spouting (on the record) more than 10 lies per day. He didn't pay for the 300 burgers. Just like he didn't spend $40M of his own money on the election. (The election money was fronted by the Russians, via Manafort.) Now, TheRump is trying to remove the sanctions on the Russians, to pay them back. As he promised he would, in the private -- off the records -- meetings w Putin. We know what Putin has the video of the Golden Fountain, in Moscow, as that hotel has been used as a video-trapping spot for decades by the KGB. TheRump doesn't want his 2016 tax return released bc he was broke, again; and the IRS return would show that his business partners are Russian mafiosos and drug cartel honchos. All US businessmen know you can't trust TheRump, so they're not investing in his hotels or resorts.

I guarantee you the players would rather have the burgers and pizza than a formal lunch.

That is such a lame offer. Which of these kids can afford to travel to NY? It would be cheaper for the players to buy their own lobster dinner ---- for the a week or month.
CRAPPY OFFER!!!!!

Maybe Strahan's offer isn't what our team should accept, but the sincerity of his offer may be more honest than many of you think. To understand him, read his book. I think the title is "wake up happy". He grew up harder than you may think and this book is very motivational and inspirational. I gave my 2 young nephews copies to read and maybe guide them through their tough teen years. Read the reviews before you give me a hard time.

If Clemson and Dabo play this right, our Tiger may eat free for a year! Avoid the political traps and enjoy the free publicity. GO TIGERS!

Maybe Strahan can muse about his legendary flop sack that Brett Favre gift wrapped him to be the all time single season sack leader.

This is typical virtue signalling. Most (if not all) of the people offering the Tigers a make-up meal are more about being anti-Trump than they are pro-Clemson. One of them was a Georgia fan, and the chef from Chicago cares nothing about college football. Anyway, from what I could tell, the team enjoyed themselves. I hope our Tigers stay classy. Go Tigers!
