Or do we let our 5 star air it out? If the coaches dont trust Cade to throw the ball down field today then I don't trust the coaches ability to identify talent.

Don't be silly. We'll also throw some extremely shallow flats to Antonio.

It will really be disturbing if we don't see at least 10-15 passes thrown behind the LOS netting a grand total of 5-6 yards for the game with throwing behind the LOS!!!!

I do think the concept of our receivers needing to have all this separation is overrated. It's always better, sure, but let's go back to 2018, our best receiver room we've ever had. None of our receivers were lightning fast. Tee ran a 4.54 40 at the combine. Amari ran a 4.51. Renfrow ran a 4.59. Justyn ran a 4.63. Kendrick ran a 4.78.
All NFL caliber players, but not a single sub-4.5 in our top 5 receivers. We weren't like Alabama with all the 4.3 little receivers. That's just not how we built our wide receiver room. Hunter, and to a lesser extent Amari, were able to get some separation because they were shifty and great route runners But overall, our offense consisted of throwing up 50/50 balls which our receivers would come down with because they were 6'4 with good verticals and better hands.
People expecting us to have all this separation don't seem to understand the idea of a possession receiver. I don't fully understand Cade's issue with throwing passes directly to the other team when he's supposed to be our most accurate QB ever, but really what he needs is to have confidence to let our possession receivers (which is what Collins, Randall, and Briningstool are supposed to be) be themselves and be those possession guys. Deshaun had that confidence in our guys. So did Trevor. DJ did not (nor the accuracy and touch). I'm hoping Cade gets there, but I see that a bigger issue than WR separation.

That will come when Dabo fires Grisham and somehow talks Jeff Scott into taking over the WRs!!!

I read that centuries ago Nostradamus predicted Clemson running a bubble screen in every game we do it. He would start every quatrain with;
"Ye olde spoiler alert...

Disagree. I find most Clemson/CFB fans can't tell the difference between bubble, smoke, and slip screens

cutting it upfield.
We'll throw some swing passes to the RB who is 5 yards in the backfield and not moving forward at all.

Y’all do realize that the Air Raid throws a lot of short passes to spread the defense. We signed up for that with Riley. Give the man time to develop the offense and hopefully Dabo has no restraints on him. Losing to Duke is unacceptable but Riley called a game that gave us plenty of chances to score. To the poster about our speed back in the day being no better than today, I agree but most of those guys ran precise, crisp routes. Don’t see that with this group.

Short passes and passes into the flat aren't always the same. Air raid has tons of stick and quick slant routes that are optioned based off the defensive coverage.
We are calling no-option screen plays, which is not a core concept of Air Raid
