Do we know where we stand currently in the ACC lawsuit, the possibility of

leaving or staying in the conference? It just seems to me that this topic has been very quiet over the past few months. I get the feeling we are without options until the GOR expires. It would just be nice to know what our path will be over the next ten years.

It seemed as if us and the Seminoles were sure-fire departures, it was just a matter of how soon.

Time can also change matters. We don't know what the future holds the longer this drags on. FSU was 2-10 this season. UNC just hired a big-name coach to run their program. Marketability can change.

Just didn't know if there was any insight as to where conference expansion talks had landed.

Clemson has the ball and the ACC is calling a play to slow us down.

Courts allow for very long time outs.

Saw Dabo and the Commish hugging at the ACC Trophy Awarding. But it could have been one of those Soprano hugs.

I have no insider knowledge but it seems as if something is going on behind the scenes. Just look at FSUs tone change recently. Whether that’s because a settlement to leave is getting closer, the ACC is throwing more money at us to stay, or we have no where to go - who knows. My guess is it’s a combination of the last two based on FSUs recent comments.

That 2-10 record totally took the wind out of FSU's sails. This silence is deafening.

Is it because they lost a round and have no chance inhel of winning...patent and contract law is not going to change because of a bunch of spoiled children in Hallatassee! Besides nobody wants them...Clemson is still a commodity...Injuns are a disaster! Statutes of limitation, estoppel and due process still control!

Clemson,FSU AND UNC know that one of two things have to happen.

1. Stay in conference if they can get the ACC to go to a system that will guarantee them an extra 30 to 50 million a year, what the SEC/BIG pays or will be paying their members.

2. If # 1 does not happen, dissolve the conference with 10 members voting to dissolve. Those 10 plus 2 more would form a new conference. The new conference would bring in private equity and get new media rights contract with ESPN, FOX, and NBC or other streaming services.

The ACC WOULD HAVE to go the private equity route to be able to pay much more to the top teams. The BIG 12 is pursuing private equity and will also be signing a new media deal in 2026 (IIRCC). THE ACC CANNOT sit on its ### and let the BIG12 get a better deal. So far, Phillips is doing nothing. Bubba Cunningham, UNC AD, supports pvt.equity. He supported the pvt. equity plan proposed by ND, called the RUDY plan. Bill Bellichick has connections to pvt equity groups. UNC is not going to be passive about their future. They need and want the extra 40-50 million.

So, in order to get 10 teams to vote to dissolve the conference, FSU/CU has to be on board to stay in a new conference. Thus, FSU backing off about leaving the ACC. CLEMSON never said they were leaving. Their court suit was limited to the GOR being judged by a court of law as being valid ACC property IF Clemson left the ACC.

SO, FSU has now realized that they have no landing spot if they leave the ACC and that the court case is going to drag out longer than they thought.

2025 will either see THE ACC DISSOLVED OR FSU/CU/UNC get a large increase in ACC revenue. But something is going to happen to change the ACC in 2025. UNC WILL LEAD THE WAY. They hired Belichick for more than just his coaching. Phillips will either watch the ACC dissolve or he will get off his ### and get competitive with the other 3 conferences. My guess is, he will watch it dissolve because he is a weak ESPN ### KISSER.

I’m fine w staying in the ACC…if we would have been in the SEC this year we would have lost 1-2 more games and wouldn’t have made it into the playoffs.

My prediction is we can get out of the ACC in 2025 for ~$450M cash plus legal fees.

Which means we won’t get out…

That depends on schedule. Not sure we would have lost 2-3 more games.***

You have to wonder if the SEC will take in more schools. How would they handle that? It's tougher than nails now. We are beating each other senseless.

The sec would much rather put a knife in Clemson and FSU than admit them.

No change. Lawyers are the only ones benefitting. Waste of $$$$$***
