palming the ball went away during the Jordan years. It should never be called based on what I've seen. Just tuck it under your arm take 5 steps and then score.

Heck the refs don't even call a T on raising above the basket anymore.Saw a tournament,not sure which one but there was dunk that a player went above the basket like he was doing a pull up exercise.Back in the day that used to be called a T every time but not in today's world of Basketball.
