Follow Soccer/Football? If so who is your team?

Have family in Liverpool and have watched every game for years, been to Anfield and it is incredible. Goosebumps. Even the "Soccer is stupid, 'Merica" crowd would be in awe at the atmosphere.

Anyway, Arsenal was having an amazing season but choked a bit and let Man City pass them.

Awesome! Almost a champion this year.

There is a reason the world is enamored with it.

I follow the Colombian national team and a local team here called Once Caldas. I also like watching the men's and women's national teams for the US.

I wish I could get more into the Premier League but never really had a connection to a team other than to pull for Man City to mess with my Irish friend who loves Manchester U.

Not Man city 😭

That's awesome though. One of my favorite documentaries is the tale of the two Escobar's during the 94 world cup where Andres was murdered.

That was a crazy documentary...

I actually remember watching the game against Colombia in 1994 on ESPN. At that time I had no idea I would eventually be living in Colombia and married to a Colombian.

The Escobar killing was a tragedy but the World Cup appearance was one of the best showings for the USA. The US had not gotten to the knock-out stage in like 60 years or so before that and had to face Brazil, the eventual World Cup champion.

That game I remember vividly. The USA was so completely outmatched but almost made it to penalties where I think we had only chance of victory. Brazil finally broke through the "completely sell-out to defense" strategy and scored late in the second half.

Man, what a match.

That's awesome to hear. Where would you recommend traveling in Colombia? And is it safe to go to a big club game?

I've had friends go to Medellìn and some had fun, some had a terrifying time. It is such a beautiful country and would love to travel there and Argentina. Would love some insight on best and safe areas for family

Man, where do I begin. It's a safe place if you stay in the right areas like anywhere else. I have been here over 10 years with no issues.

I love Bogota and Medellin. Cartagena or Santa Marta would be a great place to take a family!

I will look into it, thanks. We have a delayed honeymoon and she is partial to England (loves the monarchy and history) but I think bang for buck, we could have a great time in South America.

Our som is a Man U fan, and we watch a fair amount the Premier League. Also, the national teams, and the World Cup. We end up watching more soccer than anything else.

Since the portal and nil, I only watch Clemson and Marshall football. I've given up the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL over the years.

How old is your son? Seems like the under 15 or so youth has a massive following of soccer. That generation could make EPL and others mainstream soon. See young kids with Man U, Real, PSG jerseys everywhere in Florida

I like to watch the big leagues, Premier included. Partial

to Man U for some reason. Like Roma in Serie A. Amazing athletes accumulated on some of those teams. The champions league games this week were great!

Awesome to hear. I think one of the biggest things people are missing about European soccer is how important and unique the champions league is. The world cup of pro teams.
