One thing is for sure he won't be in cootville. Unless he is wearing orange in the endzone

I know he won't be in cootville; he plays for Clemson, and we played them there las year, so he won't be in their end zone either. Final year

Looked better to me on film than Hunter Johnson. It should be interesting to see how good they really are.

How's that? Johnson looks more accurate, he gets the ball out faster, and I love the machine-gun tat-tat-tat his head is doing because he's going through a progression, like, real fast. HJ has a rare arm, reminds me a good bit of Seth Russell at Baylor. I don't think he's quite the athlete or runner DW4 is but he looks like the more polished passer, to me. Looks every bit the 5-star he's billed as. Brice looks good to my eyes, mind, but I still wouldn't rate him near a 5.
What you seeing that I'm not?

Johnson does get the ball out just a touch faster and has better footwork at the moment. I agree. He looks more physically mature. Brice is lankier ad coming into his own. That said, on film Brice throws a much better deep ball, noticeably better imo. I think he will in the end be the better player of the two. That said, obviously there is way more than just throwing a good deep ball. Johnson does look more refined and mature. I think Brice is a higher upside looking at the film though. Either way, they both look good.

I am finally 100% in agreement with you. He is a coot. Why? Because he had a chance to praise DW4 and instead felt the need to correct the spelling. He could have corrected the spelling AND said that DW4 is a goat.

Didn't you write a T-Net suicide post??? Sorry to ask but just wondering why you're still on your rivals board? If I have you confused with another Gamecock fan, I do apologize! It does get confusing with a troll here and a troll there...everywhere a troll. (You know how it goes)

QBs...but I doubt there will be the same combo that Watson is. He's the perfect student, astute player and a humble person. Enjoy it.

Nobody. Deshaun Watson is a once-in-a-generation talent
Apr 6, 2016, 11:10 PM
|
|
Talented QBs have come through Clemson, SC several times in history, and they will continue to come through in the future. However, as talented as any of our future QBs may be, I truly believe we will most likely never see "another" Deshaun. Deshaun's talents surpass the levels of almost every other college football player I've seen play in the past 10 years. He truly is special, and I do believe he'll go down in history as the greatest QB to ever play at Clemson.
Fortunately, despite having huge shoes to fill following Deshaun's tenure at Clemson, our up and coming QBs are more than capable of performing at a high level. None of them need to try to be Deshaun Watson, because all of them are talented enough on their own to be their own person. Hunter Johnson doesn't need to be Deshaun Watson, he needs to be Hunter Johnson. Kelly Bryant doesn't need to be Deshaun Watson, he needs to be Kelly Bryant. Zerrick Cooper doesn't need to be Deshaun Watson, he needs to be Zerrick Cooper. The list could go on and on, but you get the idea.
Long story short: We will most likely have another Deshaun, but our future QBs are talented enough that they don't need to try to be "the next Deshaun", they can (and will) leave their own legacy.
