No it doesn't. But why has this guy moved around so much. I think that the longest he has been at one place, was when he was in college. And I expected to see a few transfers there.

It would seem to me that Venables should have made this hire rather than Dabo..........unless Dabo knows Venables isn't going to be around for long

Thank the Lord some of you armchair coaches don'y have any say in our program! Don't you think Reed would only be hired if Dabo didn'y fully believe he was up to the task. The ignorance displayed on this board is mind numbing sometimes. When I read some of these threads I find myself hoping that the posters are really in the 15-year old category, because at least they have an excuse for sounding so vacuumed-packed.

I totally agree tigerphil....this board is filled with stupidity..so many chiefs on here all think they know exactly how to run Clemson football.. pathetic...I wonder just how many of the doomslayer's on here actually attend football games and spend the money on the bowl games.. always negative...please for all of us who really love Clemson football and want to succeed without all the negative remarks.. go pull for someone else.. hey i have a suggestion..go down I-26 and become a ####...but get out of here...

He does have some nice credentials in the "Other Highlights" section. Maybe he just had a lot of injuries and lack of talent this past year at State, similar to what we've been working with.

They sure held FSU to 16 points. When FSU put 49 on us. Maybe because he wasn't so successful at NC STATE maybe because they don't have star players at that position. I think Clemson has a little bit more better talent at that position than State does.

We torched their secondary this year so instead of our dbs getting burnt 5 times a game now were only hope to get burnt 3....coaching talented players doesnt mean a coach is good

Maybe their inability to stop us wasn't because they suck and their DB coach is clueless, but because our receivers are outstanding and we have a great offensive coordinator. Something for you to think about.

We made this move too quick yeah we have good wrs no doubt but putting up school records on them says alot and having a good game against fsu means very little fsu doesnt show up to play alot just like we did with bowden and hey our secondary looks good every year against VT and no one else

So how many of you would be b$%&@ like this if we hired Coach Reed last year instead of this year...when his awful secondary has a nation leading 27 picks, held our offense to 13 points, and picked us off twice. One year ago most of you complainers would of had to change your shorts if we hired this same coach 12 months ago. Did they have as good of a year this year as last no...went from 1st in interceptions all the way down to 17th, still a heck of a lot better than we were.
