graders who couldn't even shut up when the teacher told them to. I thought the N.D. governor, whose name I still do not know, probably had the best night. And that is really sad.

OK, I looked it up, Doug Burgrum.

Did anyone fall down? If not, we could be headed in the right direction.

There are no winners in a debate.

It's fitting that their leader is a lifetime criminal.

It is impossible to have an honest policy based discussion

when there are more than 2 or 3 politicians on a debate stage. Democrat or Republican it doesn't matter because they always degenerate into a mess of people trying to talk over one another.

The networks are doing a disservice to voters by continuing these clown shows of jamming the stage with 6 or more candidates - especially when all but 2 have no real chance of winning the primary. If the networks and the Party's hosting the debate insist on keeping the stage jammed with candidates then at least keep all the microphones off and only turn on the microphone of the candidate being asked the question.

After 20 minutes of last nights yak fest I wanted to put my hands over my ears and scream "SHUT THE F**k UP AND LET THE PERSON ANSWER THE QUESTION UNINTERRUPTED!!!"

They need to whittle this field down to Haley, DeSantis and maybe one other candidate at this point. Get the rest of them off the stage as none of them have even an outsiders shot at winning the GOP primary. By the time the Iowa primary rolls around it needs to be just Trump and one other Republican candidate - otherwise Trump is going to walk away with the Republican nomination once again.

Our parties also need to be more discerning about who they allow themselves to call a "Democrat" or a "Republican", and cross people off the list who don't have "is not an authoritarian and would not destroy democracy in America" as their first and most basic attribute.

The Dems do themselves no favors by allowing an outright socialist like Bernie freaking Sanders - who is not a Democrat or a "liberal" - he goes far beyond that, he's an outright radical and merely caucuses with them - to run as a Dem. Similarly, the GOP did itself no favors allowing a populist like Trump - who is not remotely conservative but is in fact a populist reactionary - to run as a Pub.

It's blurred the lines between authoritarianism and democracy, and brought entirely too much legitimacy to extremist politics that have no place in the American system. We are not a Communist nation, period. We are not a Fascist dictatorship, period. Candidates that run on either extreme, fanning the worst impulses of their constituencies and dividing Americans in the process - should not be allowed to run, at least not under the banner of the major parties.
