Free throws were a killer. Not sure if it was bad defense or some pretty good shooting. I hope Unconn beats them by 30.

Brad told us what it was. We were not athletic enough to contest their threes. Brad mentioned even in the zone they were bearing our defense down the court for open threes even after we went to zone to try to help our guys.
Everyone mentions the free throws, which is obvious, but Girard, PJ and Ian all missed way too many open threes in the first half. Have to make those shots in the Elite 8. Do those 2 things and even in spite of Sears and Co absolutely going off from 3 range we still could’ve easily controlled that game.

It must feel good being you, a person that has never lost at nothing, right. This was an awesome run for this team and if they've made you angry, just maybe you should find yourself a team that never loses at anything!!!

Sometimes you just get beat. Clemson played hard. I'm proud of this team. They competed all year and that's the important thing. We came close but now it's time to look forward and get some guys who can really help us next year.

Only hubris could lead someone who had never been on the floor playing against college level athletes to be so naive. Anyone who thinks basketball is not a contact sport is unaware. These athletes are huge, strong, fast, quick, and savvy. Inside that arc are linebacker and tight end sized men pushing, shoving, running, and jumping for an edge.
Not much of that makes it on the screen.
Plus, the intensity is unrelenting for the duration of the game.
And some nights the other team has the juice. Get out of here with this pathetic take. It’s so predictable that the “experts” on tnet will come out of their hidey-holes FOR EVERY SPORT the instant they sense an opportunity to complain.
Out of 312 teams playing NCAA D1 bb, we were one of the final 8 playing. We didn’t win it all, but neither did 310 other teams. Learn to appreciate the moment.

The way I see it: Clemson played uncharacteristically well in the NCAA tournament until we played Bama. We showed everyone how good we could consistently play, until we fizzled out.
I think consistent winning sprinkled in with a few championships once in a 🔵 blue moon would work wonders for our fans. We sound a lot like NC State Football fans grasping at straws right now.
The sting is always worse when you don't think your team will "get there again" anytime soon. I hear people freaking out, acting like we got robbed, etc....
The truth is that we were an unranked team that lost its 1st rd game in the ACC tournament, then got hot and went on a nice run in the NCAA.
Bama outplayed us. We couldn't hit open jumpers or FTs when it mattered. They were better when the game was on the line.
It's cool to get to the Final 4, but I don't envy what's about to happen to them against UCONN. I'm happy for our Basketball team, they have heart and talent. They just came up a little short.
