Board after a win. Were we perfect? No. But did we clean up a ton? Yes. I for one was very encouraged after last night

They should watch the first 3 games of 2015, 2016, 2017 & 2018.
Talk about pulling your hair out.
We're much improved over the last 2 games. I know, inferior competition, but are we not doing what we are supposed to? You can't these kids them to get better at a faster rate than they have the last 2 weeks.
Over the last 2 games, we did what we were supposed to do.
- Continue to get better.
- Only given up 1 sack.
- Only given up 2 fumbles.
- Only threw 1 interception
- Back to + side of the turnover margin, and on the + for the season now.
- At once point, b/n games 2-3 we had opponents 86-0 (or something very close to that).
- Lastly, we got the game in control by the 2nd qtr, which allows get 2nd, 3rd (and 4th) string lots of playing time. This is crucial for many reason, but most of which:
1) Positive team culture.
2) gives coaches opportunities to review film and coach kids up who will be needed later in the season.
3) Gives the starters the proper balance of playing time and rest time and potentially avoid injury.
4) Gives opponents less film of starters to look at, but more overall workload to with the increase in players to review.

That’s what drives me the craziest lol, it’s like everyone forgot how those years actually went. Deshaun and Trevor as great as they were made plenty of mistakes along with the rest of the teams. Wonder how many fans swore we wouldn’t be Bama.

Just because we looked ok Vs two terrible teams, taht doesn’t mean we can forget the first game of the year.
You guys are acting like a lackluster win, which we did have some in the glory days, is the same thing as a three touchdown loss.

They didn’t those teams had the leadership to bounce in those games. They weren’t perfect though easily could’ve lost that Troy game and we definitely shouldn’t of lost that Pitt game. They both got better throughout the season especially when it counted most.

enough to have both. There are teams that will never have a QB like that and it could be a long time before we have another one like them. Doesn't mean that we still can't win, but if you are going to want to compare every team and every QB to them you are going to find yourself being very angry for a long time!

Pitt was certainly not better in 2016 than Duke is today. That was at home and was not Deshaun’s 3rd start ever.

But the fact that 90% of the posts here are negative posts about negative posts, I'm a bit concerned. Why can't we just talk about positive things if we don't like negative? Why dwell on the few negative posts on here? Not everyone is going to be easy going. And there was a lot to be proud of and a lot to be be concerned with so far this season. If you want to dwell on the positive, then do that!
I'm tired of reading all this fan bashing stuff.

It doesnt seem like most Clemson fans expect another Deshaun or Trevor.

But it isn’t unreasonable to expect five star QBs who are the best in their class to play like it.
DJ didn’t play like it, and so far Cade hasn’t either. In fact, neither one has been close.
That is concerning, especially since our offense is predicated on a QB that makes quick decisions and can execute plays well.

To your point; you wouldn't know we dominated that game by the comments.
CFB does not have a preseason - "I am of the opinion it should"! This team - if it sticks together will not be a squad teams want to play later this season.
You can see it all coming together! Even on plays that don't work - it's about whether the play was there or if we were just a step off. Which is what I saw.
Some of that can be impacted by the opponent. You tend to have more focus and play your A game when the name on the jersey is a traditional power. I think we are in good shape and good position still to have a fantastic season!
