The Knicks like the fact that Dabo has cool sound bytes, and his energy would be a welcome addition on the sidelines.
Also, his assertion that he has never failed at anything in life shows the hubris that the New York fans like.
In doing their in-depth research, the Knicks also learned from TNet posters that Dabo is such an incredible man that he would be successful at anything he tried. For a franchise that has high standards but has mostly been a disappointment for the last 30 years, going with an outside guy like Dabo might be just what they need. If he can make Clemson an elite program, why couldn't he do it with the Knicks?
