Kid had wisdom teeth removed.
Mom: ZOMG TELL ME FUNNY STORIES ABOUT HOW SILLY SHE WAS!
Daughter: LEMME KNOW WHEN YOU GET HOME SO I CAN GET SOME GOOD VIDEO
Both times I reply: Thanks for checking on her. Everything went well and she's not in pain as the anesthesia hasn't worn off yet. She's asleep on the couch doing fine.
**Added to text to daughter: Oh, and if you try to photograph, livestream, snap, video, facetime, or the like with her in this condition I'll take your car and your phone and I'll cut both of your arms off.
Wife replies: Oh good. Glad she is doing well. ANY FUNNY STORIES? I'm all like nah she good.

which I think puts me in the upper echelon of intelligence levels here in the Jounge, not to brag or anything. I'm trying to stay humble even though it remains difficult to this day.
I still have my wisdom teeth because I put it off in college, then I got my own insurance and said fuck no to the cost.

30 or so teeth, which I mentioned a few times, and this guy was like well I have 42 teeth, and this OTHER guy was like big whoop I have 56 teeth and this OTHER OTHER dude says I have 77 teeth on each side and I am still getting more and man I feel so humble now.

I met a guy at at the Commerce Club that was in town playing golf at his house at the Cliff's properties to avoid the heat at his $172million mansion in Miami and he told me his porcelain veneers cost $60k after having them installed at a celebrity cosmetics joint in LA.

Well shoot, I ain't never had no surgery so I never schedule that recommended appt. Last year the dentist was like "Why did they recommend he have his wisdom teeth taken out? There's no issue here. Take that off the list".

I taint got no room for dems. They were coming in sideways too. Had to cut them out in pieces. I had headaches for a while before getting them out. I slept like a baby for a month afterwards.

My last dentist told me I had another tooth that needed a crown. I told him to go ahead and pull it and lets just go right to the implant. He was like.."what? Well let's wait a minute"
I explained that I have one tooth that we followed his "treatment plan" (and when you hear the words "treatment plan" from a dentist, get out your HSA card), and 8 years later its a $12,000 tooth. Yes. ONE TOOTH.

replacement filling.
a crown
Then another crown (first broke)
the a root canal THROUGH the crown.
Then THAT crown broke.
Then an implant
I'm not sold being a dentist first started out the way it is now..that basically all 32 teeth are a regular source of income for some dentist.

Had a dentist. He's old AF. He finally retired so we bounced to another one...a guy we know. This dude's a little more modern, prolly late 40s.
It seems like everyfucking time one of us goes there he's recommending some type of something. Shid don't seem right to me.

They just tell me my gums look great every time. They told me like 10 years ago to look into a sonicare toothbrush, which I did, and it's awesome. But other than that I just get a cleaning and go on my merry clean gums and teeth way.

The last straw was him telling me I had a cavity in a tooth he had just put a filling in 3 months earlier. I can also no longer chew ice due to that tooth, when I told him that and he told me I shouldn't be eating ice anyway so he didn't feel bad. Nevertheless, I never had a problem doing it until he fugged with my teeth.
Now they call monthly trying to reschedule me to "take care of my other cavities". I don't even necessarily believe I have other cavities, but if I did he sure isn't going to handle them.
