To be fair Anthony had a better D line

In front of him that limited his chances of making a play bc Jarrett and Beastly were there before he was.

To be completely fair.

Ben hasn't missed many gap assignments and the defense has blitzed a little more this year it seems. Ben's certainly slower on the hoof but his reaction time is much better which I believe gets him where he's going at almost the same amount of time.

Seems to me he's always around the ball, disrupting

and making plays whether he's blitzing or not. I don't think it's accurate or fair to credit an inexperienced D-line for that.

Agreed. He is also very good at getting off or running

through blocks and getting to the ball. Has a few picks and PBUs too so he reads the QB's eyes well when dropping into coverage. If there is anything slightly negative about BB it's that he sometimes has trouble keeping up with the slot receiver making a break across the middle of the field.

Stephone was definitely better in pass coverage. But the DLine was a lot more disruptive which is crazy when seeing how often our DLine is in their backfield.

Plus Anthony had Ben as a backup, Ben has no one. Anthony came off the field how often does Ben?

Both are really good LB's. Who didn't see this coming? Anyone who is halfway decent at evaluating talent could have told he'd be just as good, if not better than, Anthony. What Ben lacks in speed and athleticism, he EASILY makes up for with heart and drive. He plays with such fire and passion. He will definitely go down as one of the top linebackers to put on a Tiger uniform.

Like I've said before, i think Boulware is just fearless. He goes up against anyone and throws his body at them like its nothing, first time I've seen a Clemson LB with that kind of attitude. No doubt he leaves everything out on the field every game, love watching him play

I know that with most running plays, he is close to or on where the ball is. I would vote he is one of the most fearless players on our team after every game. We know he gets banged up in every game, but he never complains. He does whatever he has to do to play in the next down, and the next game!!!

When asked who he most impressed with after the UA

All-Amercan Game, Herm Edwards paused, then replied..."Boulware. He's got a neck." Prophetic, to say the least.

Ben's a prime example of a player who outperforms his measurables.

Been saying since the start of the season. This kid is a monster and has an unbelievable motor. He doesn't get enough praise. Which I'm sure he likes.

B-ware...
Oct 23, 2015, 7:02 PM
|
|
is a total body-slinging beast! He throws himself all over the field, sacrificing himself on every play. I watched a replay of the BC game, focusing/spotlighting only B-ware. He was near the ball (either making the play or being disruptive) on almost every running play.
A disruptive player, he brings a certain "BV Nastiness" to our defense.
Love this guy...

No matter why you think he's getting the numbers...fact is, dude just makes plays and finds a way to make it happen. Article is just comparing numbers, not saying he's a better player or not. As we all know, Data is Data and thats all it is.
