The Freshman Register was a book with colored photos of all the incoming freshmen. We would go through the book and call up all the hot looking freshmen girls and invite them to our fraternity house for a freshman mixer. No other girls were allowed at the party, only the hot looking freshman. This party took place a few days before class started each fall. It was alway one of the best parties of the year.
Yes and this is why fraternities have a bad name today. Times were different in the 70’s.

I miss being in the room at the end of the hall, where the wall was partially caved in from Johnstoner's putting their shoulder into it.
I miss the 2 am beer slides on the Halls, and the Sunday nasty old beer smells in the stairwells.

That’s when Tigerama was a lot of fun. My children were 7 & 2 at the time and they loved homecoming weekends. Stayed at team hotel one time and oldest daughter got to throw the ball around with some of the players and The Tiger came in the room to meet youngest. Great times

I miss Dan's. The food was good but all of those old black-and-white photos of former Clemson players made the place special. A great place to be a Tiger.
There used to be a barber shop in the basement of the YMCA building. I got my head shaved there for the last true Rat season. That was 1968. In 1969, half of the frosh didn't participate. I think there was one guy in 1970 who shaved his head and called himself a rat.

Mine is more the look of the campus. Seems like there aren't as many grassy areas as in the past. I'm all for improvements but you don't need a garden or a fountain or a bench everywhere. Just seems almost claustrophobic.

Less hassle getting in/out of town ... the hill was wide open ... the programs had great cartoons about the visiting teams being taken down ... the scoreboard with the eyes of a Tiger seemed enormous ... white shoes were a big deal ... you could actually hear the band and they sounded loud ... all seats were great ... I would still take the present - we are at a level we only dreamed about back then!

apparently some dude and his dad decided to profit off of it and started making pens. from what i understand the pens don't even work and that was the beginning of the end on 4/20/18, never forget.
