Missing the aggressive calls made by BV in the past... defensive calls are looking as vanilla as the offense has been, although in the past few games offensive calls seem to me to be improving... I'm probably wrong, but that's how I see it

Defense has indeed been a huge disappointment

Scrapping out wins yes, key stops here and there yes… but need to be dominant

Everybody including myself is excited about the play
of Cade. Is he as good as DJ was as a freshman ? I think most on here
would say yes. DJ lit ND up as a true freshman
against a much better ND team with Ian Book at QB.

He has long since been gone and this
ND isn't nearly as dangerous as the task we faced that day in
South Bend. The key will be , if DJ has a repeat performance
like we just witnessed will Dabo pull the trigger earlier
to prevent a loss to the Irish ? I say , yes and depending on the results
he may just earn the starting spot that day. I think the young gunslinger
is more than capable of answering the call and secures the W.

They may be exactly right for the wrong reason...if he does not play we may win...if he plays another crappy game we may not go to the prom!

Pretty accurate assessment. Hard to believe that our DL isn’t more dominant with all of the studs we have on it. Just seems that the D has taken on Wes’ laid back attitude as opposed to BV’s “I want to rip your head off” mentality!

Hopefully, Saturday was just a hiccup in DJ’s progression because he has been playing so much better until last week. Keeping my fingers crossed!

We don't see the elaborate blitz packages that Coach V would dial up.
On offense, we were able to man handle Syracuse's defensive line(they averaged around 250 lbs) thus our run game was very successful without having to throw the ball downfield with Cade. We won't he able to do that against most teams.

Has our D been sloppy at times, absolutely. Outside of the FSU game Wes has made outstanding adjustments progressively throughout the game to where our D has played much better in the 2nd half. Mistakes are the best lesson to learn from as long as it doesn't cost us the game. We have made some critical mistakes but I've loved the response from those players following those mistakes. It was disappointing to see DJ play bad Saturday but hopefully the trend continues and he learns from it and plays awesome against ND. We have shown alot of growth and our chemistry continues to improve weekly. I like where we stand, let's finish this season strong and prove once again Clemson is here to stay among the college football elite. Go Tigers!!!
