State used to be a nothing game for Clemson but you can tell it is the game they circle at the start of the season. They were completely prepared and it was a supebowl type atmosphere. NCSU can no longer rely on catching Clemson by surprise. That is part of becoming a real program though. Getting everyones best shot.

That and the other downside is the whole refs feeling so bad for the other team that they don't call basic routine penalties like holding which occasionally results in close games or nailbiters when teams that have been gifted these favors end up mounting a comeback.

State has indeed surprised Clemson over the last couple of seasons. This game, however, the Pack provided the perfect springboard for Clemson to showcase talent. State did a good job of taking away the run and putting the load on Trevor. That's likely how I would have planned too. In the end, Trevor had a career day and slashed the Pack through the air.
Clemson knows all about getting everyone's best shot. I believe the Tigers did today as well, and just got the better of each and every challenge.

Clemson's "best shot," which it wasn't. Clemson made a lot of mistakes. Score should have been 50 something to 0.

Every game. Got pretty boring and quiet by the 3rd period.
Clemson only circles the next game on the calendar. You’re not special. States biggest issue might have been the close games recently. We want to start leaving no doubt.
Stop over inflating your team. You’re not in Clemson’s league.

My friend who is 30 years old, born, and raised in clemson said that the atmosphere this whole weekend has been unlike anything she has ever experienced in that town. biggest game atmosphere ever. superbowl like.
Some more indicators that we are on the rise is how your fans and coach actually pick on us. That fans of an alabama type program have taken note of our program and coach take time to make up jokes about us has to be worth something. half the threads on here are about our coach players and fans. Programs that aren't on the rise don't attract that sort of attention from the elite programs.
We can no longer sneak up on Clemson because we have come a long way. We are the game Clemson fans and players look forward to all year. That alone shows we are on the rise.

Dude, your QB is gone next year, we will probably beat you even worse next year. This game should have been 49 or 56-7 instead of 41-7 with two bad redone play calls and penalties..

Its a big accomplishment to finally figure us out. Clemson finally figured nc state out this year and can do so without killing our program's momentum.
We are still looking for our best season ever by going 10-2 which would put us right on par with Dabo's 5th year. We aren't sweating one loss. No one thought we were on Alabama's level like Clemson. That doesn't mean we suck. We have perspective for our everupward trajectory.
Our QB will be gone but we have more QBs. We have seen QBs come and go just check out the games sunday. Our team is young. We put more players in the NFL than anyone last year besides bama and look at the dropoff. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year. We came back better. we just reload at this poin.
What will happen to clemson when the dline is gone and no more hunter renfrow? They will probably replace them.
Next year the roles will be reversed when you come to raleigh with a young defense and have to gameplan around stopping the run against a crowd that is up for their biggest home game of the year (by far)

Tomorrow, I will wake up thinking of FSU, and maybe of OSU getting their butts whipped tonight. UNC wannabe State will be an afterthought, just like every other year. You have relevance to any Clemson fan once a year if that, for a week, and then poof...your imaginary rivalry with Clemson disappears.

Don't act like you guys didn't go through a Clemsonning phase under Dabo. The difference is you didn't have to play against Alabama every year to develop. FSU was only on that level for one year.
