I was going to give TE a break because if DJ does not fumble we score on that drive and its a different game. The last play in the end zone did it he deserves every bit of the criticism he gets and if he can't handle it he is in the wrong business.

Nothing wrong with the call. Shipley cleared the end zone. How do you blame a play call when the player fumbles? Unless you think TE called a fumble play. Not to mention DJ already had a fumble at a critical time and Shipley was our most reliable player all day long.

Of course it’s easier to say “stupid” than address the facts in my post. The reason for the safety was because the player fumbled. No fumble, game over. If DJ is under center and fumbles the outcome would have been the same. To blame the OC for a fumble is on its face illogical at best. The play worked. He wasn’t tacked in the end zone. He fumbled.

We don't take snaps under center ever, and I HATE it. Recall the fumble agaisnt FSU that cost us the games? It was Watson's first season. If I recall they did practice it a bit for the next season. Thing is, most of these kids anymore have never taken a under center snap from pee wee on.
