Looking at the depth chart you can see that DE is a huge need for this 2026 class. How are we looking? Are we in the hunt for any dudes that will play immediately?

Yes. The Golden kid is a gamer if we can get him. Everyone at the top of college football wants him.

Looks like we have offered 3-4 guys (link above) with three of them trending warm.

Might end up with 1-2 out of the portal again next year as we will need someone who can step in for Parker assuming he heads to the NFL after this year.

We have offers out to a number of highly rated DE's. Some have interest and I believe are scheduling visits. Keep in mind that we picked up Will Heldt from the transfer portal earlier in the year. The article posted this morning on TigerNet said he has two more years of eligibility. While he will likely see alot of playing time this season, we do need to bring on some studs.

Maybe Will Heldt blows up and goes pro? Either way, it seems we could be vulnerable. I obviously believe in Dabo though, so I am just thinking about needs.

TJ Parker. Likely gone after the season.
Denhof gone after the season (Meh)
Zaire Patterson gone after the season.(Meh)
Will Heldt Jr...Hopefully stays 2 years, but??
Jaheim Lawson. RS Jr. He is showing promise.

Darien Mayo RS Frosh. It would be huge if he turns into a good one.
Ari Watford...Hopefully he is ready by year 2.



It seems like adding 2 studs is what we need IMHO.
