Doesn’t look like he’s ready to just give up RB1 to G. Davidson

This is the kind of ethic that Dabo and hos staff are looking for in their recruits. Love it !

He would have been a much higher rated player and contributor if he hadn't gotten hurt and had to sit out his senior season.
I've always felt EZ was a sleeper pick-up like etn. People tend to forget some services had etn as a 3*.
And as I posted below, Haynes is a player we'll probably have for 5 years. We have bigger needs on defense (LB) than finding a RB.

I talked to a parent of a N. Cobb player at one of their games. He raved about what a great kid EZ is, with a great attitude and a hard worker. Said Clemson will love him. Pulling for him to be successful as a Tiger. He ran for over 200 yards that night and seldom went down easily.

Idk Mike. I know some on here are butthurt we lost Jae but I'm not. Our big need for RB will be 27. Imho, I think we can wait and get one we want or get a diamond from the portal.
Don't sleep on Haynes either. But I'm really excited about EZ. In hindsight, we should have played him more last year... but our D couldn't hold a lead tbh.

Might should have played all our rb’s more with Mafah obviously hurt. I thought Jarvis Green played well against Texas.

My money is on Gideon Davidson to become RB1 by game three or four.
I think to start the season you will have EZ and Randall split carries.

I agree it’s “Zoomie’s” job to lose but I’m thinking he will be steady surprise. He has the playbook under his belt and more maturity. Looking for a big season out if him this year.

Randall and EZ make me think of Davis and Spiller. All potential at this point but that potential is kind of exciting.

My reiteration from July 4
I'm concerned with a guy inserted into a position never played
This isn't a flat-out rejection of Randall
I want to reduce turnover risk being that in our last couple of openers with disastrous results especially ( Duke ) it was often cited for the inexplicable outcome
It's a hopeful strategy to use a guy that's never played the position to be your workhouse
You have to know that LSU will be coached up to keep him upright and punch the ball out.
To mitigate the risk split the carries with EZ
Gideon should pass both by midseason

I think EZ has enough experience and coaching that he knows how to handle

the ball, and same with Randall.
It’s boils down to being able to show another step on the OL. We saw improvement in push, but we still need to show another level there to give the backs room to run. An elite run in 2025/26 will take some elite run blocking. Can’t succeed at the highest level without it.

Nobody said anything about EZ not being able to handle the ball
Actually the opposite was said.
My concern is Randall
He's not a natural RB. Certainly not an every down back ( workhorse )
I suggest to mitigate the possibility of turning the ball over , EZ split the carries
In fact , I prefer he be the starter
To see him putting in the extra work bodes well. He's better than people think. In the Spring game he had a wiggle to him not seen in any of the other backs.
As for as the O line is concerned
This group is excellent
I'm no more worried about them than I am the WR group.
