Hope everyone is safe. That turn I talked about last night turned into something worse than a little jog to the east.
I've skimmed the board. I see of lot of y'all have lost power. How is everyone doing? Everybody safe? Any local flooding or storm damage?
Looks like Clemson is getting the worst winds as I am typing this.

Power outages stink.

That is the worst we've ever had here in central Florida, away from the coast.
I've had a couple of big limbs (12 inches in diameter or greater) from oak trees fall and have had to clear them. But no structural damage (even roof shingles blowing off) in my 50+ years of living hear.
I've evacuated twice, but both times it was because my mother-in-law was living with us and no power was a real hardship on her.
The longest I've ever been with no power was 4 days. Hope yours won't be that long.

I went ten days without power when Michael hit fayetteville Nc a few years ago. I almost lost my house. I had an old sewer service generator with a V8 to run the whole house. It burned $80 of propane per day and lasted around 16 hours. I have a 1000 gallon tank but didn’t have the fittings the plumb the generator to my tank. I only had two 50lb tanks to run it. Was awful. Lost a good friend to that storm as well. You may have heard my story on the Roy Philpot show on WCCP. Zack Orr took a special interest in my situation.

Yep, but I have a Generac 6500-Watt Generator that will run most everything in my house with the exception of my heating and Air. It's full of gas and just had an oil and filter change about a month ago...

As of 8 AM, things have calmed a lot in Charleston. Still pretty bad in Seneca, but it seems the worst has passed.

Looking like the worst of it is over. Now, the clean up and the wondering when power will be restored.
Just saw that 1.2 million people without power.
I'm assuming the game will be played as normal. If it were a noon kickoff, I'm sure they would push it back. But, unless the university has a major power outage (and the town as well) y'all should be in pretty good shape by tomorrow afternoon.

Just looked at it. Seems like the University Campus has power, but north of 93 and east of 76 seem to be hit pretty hard.
How is the flooding? I'm assuming with the ### at Lake Hartwell they can control and limit flooding fairly well.
Y'all stay safe.

Yessss, but we're probably going to have a couple more before the season is over, Global Warming, and it is going to get worse before it gets better, it could destroy the only rock we have to live on...

About 30 miles north of Atlanta

and I slept through the night. Went to be around 11:30 expecting the worse.
My brother lives in Columbia and called me early this morning asking who badly we got hit. He said he had stuff slamming against his house and roof all night.
He lost power around 3:00 and wasn't aware of what was going on.
I told him, based on the reports I was just then seeing, it looked like it made it south of Atlanta and veered toward Columbia.
Flooding an issue here...but driving to work (two of us showed up after the boss said to work from home) there wasn't even any limbs in yards here.
You guys stay safe.
