I certainly hope Dabo does not consider hiring Kirby Smart…

I know that Smart comes from the Saban coaching tree, but time has shown us he is not quite the coach we all once thought. I’m also concerned about the videos that leaked showing him using abrasive language with his team. That style may work for some, but I don’t think it’s a good fit for the Clemson culture. Finally, Kirby has demonstrated that he is going to make several head scratching calls per season, typically in big games. Dabo doesn’t need to be worried about something like that. He needs to be confident that his guy is going to put our team in the best position to win, it may not always work out, but at least it wasn’t a total coaching failure that cost us a game.

In short, Kirby is a good coach, just not quite at the level we are accustomed to, and expect, at Clemson.
