Winning a lot of games is better than losing a lot of games; but the goal should not be "not to lose a lot of games", or even to win a lot of games, but rather to have a top 10 football program, which means beating good, highly ranked teams on a fairly regular basis.
I like the talent we are bringing in, and what we appear to be building; but time is running out to actually get it done, and so far, we haven't come close in terms of results.

that upon closer inspection, turns out to be very unimpressive. I judge a team by what it does against good teams. What have we done under Dabo in this regard? Not much.
He'll probably keep his job for a while, largely because of this illusion. He's gotta figure out USC pretty soon though, or the illusion will be shattered. Pretty close to already happening.

What have we done under ANY coach for the last 20 years?
1 ACC Championship in the last 20 years.
How many Top 10 finishes in the last 20 years?
How many Top 15 finishes?
Top 20 doesn't count. NC State and Wake Forest can finish in the Top 20 playing in the ACC

you beat a team that is 15+ in the rankings and they fall pretty far. Sometimes completely out. they lost another game and aren't ranked again.
a good w/l record vs the top 25 requires lots of wins against top 10 teams. we're just not there yet to consistently beat top 10 teams.
