Colts QB Kelly suspended for two games

INDIANAPOLIS — If Chad Kelly makes the Colts’ 53-man roster, he is going to have to wait a couple of weeks before he’s eligible to practice or play.
The NFL has suspended Kelly without pay for the first two games of the 2019 season, the league announced on Friday afternoon, for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
Kelly’s suspension stems from the arrest that ended his time with the Denver Broncos last fall. The backup quarterback was arrested and charged with trespassing for entering a woman’s home after an annual Halloween party thrown by Broncos star Von Miller.
Out of football for the rest of the regular season, Kelly signed with the Colts a couple of weeks ago, and he’s practiced as the team’s fourth quarterback during summer workouts. Under the terms of the suspension, Kelly will be able to participate in offseason practices, training camp and preseason games, but if he makes the final roster, he will have to leave the team for the first two weeks of the season.
Kelly, the nephew of Buffalo Bills legend Jim Kelly, will not be eligible to return to the team until Sept. 16.
The former Clemson and Ole Miss quarterback was Denver’s backup before the arrest. Kelly pleaded guilty and was sentenced to one year of supervised probation and 50 hours of community service.
Kelly’s NFL arrest was the latest in a long line of off-the-field transgressions for the quarterback. Kelly was kicked off of a high school team, kicked off of Clemson’s team, arrested for an altercation outside a Buffalo nightclub in 2014 and had his invitation to the NFL Combine rescinded the same year.
Kelly said. “I am up for the challenge to prove to these guys that I am dedicated to this.”
According to Kelly, he spent the time between October and the Colts’ decision to bring him in for a rookie minicamp tryout in his parents’ basement, wondering if he’d ever get another NFL chance.

I really don’t care one way or the other about this Moran but at what point does people tell him enough is enough.His time for me to support him has long ago passed.He just isn’t worth the trouble

Kelly was , and still is a spoiled brat , and he will never grow up . He is just like Johnny Manziel,
they think they are above the law .
