Two weeks ago he was saying "...3 to 5 years..."
Translation: "I bring you glad tidings of great joy. Clemson is gonna be in the SuperLeague, however it is organized, and it will be in 2 to 4 years."

Yes actually lol, agenda 2030 is set to commence in 5 years of which WEF mouthpiece Klaus Schwab (his mother is a rothschild) by that time (he claims) that we "will all be living in a very different world" I believe he means they have a few more events up there sleeve similar to covid, just my guess.
In any case college football is just another temperature gauge for the "next economy" because think of it as one big corporation because that what it is......all of its moves NIL/musical chairs of big brands moving into position/ etc, is positioning itself for how the world will be run in the near future.

I've listened to David's question several times. Sounds like he's suggesting if you lose a playoff game, you get another game?
Anyway, as for Dabo's response, I'm not following where he's stating anything different than all the pundits out there that are talking about different playoff plans.

That's how I víew it Brett. I see it as something that is evolving and we are feeling it out and adapting at our own pace. The fans don't even understand all of the nuances. We will see where we are in a few years.

Lawsuits like the ones Clemson and FSU filed seldom go to court. They are almost always settled outside of court.
My working hypothesis is ESPN, FOX, SEC and B1G are in negotiations as to how those two conferences and networks are going to proceed and dominate all of college football. Clemson and FSU, while not major players in the negotiations are involved on the periphery, and are being made aware of what is going on.
Dabo and Neff know far more about the status of the situation than they are, or can, letting on.
My hypothesis could be wrong. But, I see nothing to contradict it. (I think Belichick to UNC as further evidence consistent with my hypothesis. UNC knows what is going on and is positioning itself for the change from the ACC to the SuperLeague.

During the CFP Selection, Coach Saban alluded to 30-40 teams being in a “tier” by themselves. No doubt the conversations have happened and are happening. Saban would very much be in the know of these changes.
The next 3-5 years will be fun to watch.
With that said, I hate what college football has become.

This is about TV revenue and there are many teams which have huge audiences yet aren't as prominent as the 40 you're considering. Not including teams which have healthy sized audiences would violate sound economic principles.
Imo, the best league would be structured so that every game counts and the playoff would start much earlier within the divisions of the league.
I also think the members in the new league will collectively set limits on payouts to players, rules on transferring which bind players with contractual obligations. Right now it's a free for all in which the players have way too much power. I believe it will mark the end of the bidding wars which will end tampering.

I think we all know it is going to eventually change and evolve, and Dabo called that pretty early on. However, when and how it happens is something that I don't believe Dabo has much more insight into than the rest of us. As he always says, that is above his pay grade to figure out the details.
