Dabo spent two days during a game prep week talking about how Clemson has a bunch of bandwagon fans that don’t appreciate his glory and how perfect everything is with his program, and how he thinks we need to lose a few games so that people will lower their expectations, and how “Best” really just means “Try your darndest”?
I think the best possible outcome for the remainder of the season would be a berth in the Duke’s Mayo bowl, because nobody has ever needed a humbling tub of mayonnaise dumped over the head quite like Dabo Swinney.

I agree he needed to be humbled some and get a fire. He needs to sleep with his Mom more. That said, I think he will have one more good run and then retire. It starts 2 seasons from now though sadly.

This looks like the same type offense as before. What has changed? Dabo should never call plays, he isn’t and has never been an OC. He needs to let Riley call a whole game w not any input and see what TF happens.

I hear Riley has been calling plays from his playbook FWIW. Part of his initial negotiations. Who knows for sure?
Just from watching, offensive personnel packages seem disjointed, late play calls, predictable play calls and sideline interaction seem off. And then the QB goes rogue… and guess who is the QB coach.

Inexperienced players on offense, an O-line that slimmed down (explains why they are pretty good at pass protection but suck in run blocking), bad turnovers in the red zone, and first-year installing new system are more likely major reasons for issues on offense. But, I'd sure like to see more creativity on offense from a scheme standpoint (especially in the running game).
Saw a stat where we were top 5-10 in getting to the red zone but one of the worst in red zone scoring.

Maybe you would know he has said he would stop putting his hand in the cookie jar and let Riley call it, but then he doesn’t stop giving input and Riley maybe is not a type personality to tell CDS to let it go. Listen tomorrow at 11 on 105.5 and let’s see what he says.
