Looking at this situation, it seems like Dabo was trying to hold Cade and try to get DJ to guide us to the playoff for better or worse. Then release Cade in the game tonight and playoff with little game film on Cade. The plan backfired, but we still win the conference and will play Bama or Tenn in the Orange Bowl. Get a win and keep building momentum for next season

Would be a dumb plan if that was the case. A half of play in the SC game wouldn't have been enough tape.

He literally thought DJ was the better QB. All season long, apparently until tonight when Cade made him eat his opinion.

Agree 1000% Dabo miss handled the QB situation there’s no way for him to spin it at this point particularly after some of cade’s comments on the ACC network tonight

Naw, his pride prevented him from admitting he was wrong to the point he wanted to prove he's right which cost a CFP appearance.

Dabo just thought they could manage the schedule with DJ and get him to the pros this offseason. Notice on the ACCN he repeatedly mentioned DJ playing as a pro, "might even be a better QB, will be a better pro QB"
