Was it, though? What was the signature win of the season? No ACCCG, no state championship, no playoff, no wins against any team with a pulse, lost a bunch of recruits, falling behind in NIL, left out to dry in conference realignment as college football turns into the P2… was this a good year? This has actually been the worst year in a while. Similar to last year but outside circumstances have continued to get worse.

I said 10-2/9-3 before the season started.
Dabo changed NOTHING that he should’ve changed to adapt to CFb.
Why did anybody think this year would be friggin different. ??!!??!!!

But it wasn't great, or even very good. It was what it was = just "good." Like, mid-level good. Better than just decent, but only marginally so. Not all equivalent records are equal on other terms. It was a weak schedule so it may not be as good as 9-3 normally sounds.
I'm perfectly happy to acknowledge and embrace what Dabo said a while back about appreciation vs. expectations, but there's two sides to that. No, I don't want to over-react about my disappointment by acting like 9-3 is garbage, b/c it's definitely not. But nor do I feel obligated or guilted into noticing the glaring problems just so I don't get accused of not being "appreciated."
So it's both/and. Yes, it was a good year, but no it does not seem as though we are doing all we can with all we have.

Duke also went 9-3 this year. Does that mean they had a good year? Or did they just do what we did and beat loser teams? Saying this to say I fully agree. Just because we won 9 games against sorry competition doesn't make it a good year.
