Would you get the COVID vaccination if....

you it required you to have an invisible tattoo needled into your skin proving you were vaccinated against COVID19?
Stay at home in isolation forever, or live free and clear but with a vax tramp-stamp? Point to consider, back in the smallpox days, you knew who had the vaccine when you saw the scar on their arm. This would be the same kind of deal, but the danger is that it would be a mark used for other, more nefarious authoritarian purposes.

because there are some regimes that would use this kind of control as a form of currency.
This about control and authority. And abuse of authority is the ultimate problem.

Why can't you just show paperwork, if needed, like you do for all other vaccines.

"Accurate medical recordkeeping is a major challenge in many low-resource settings where well-maintained centralized databases do not exist, contributing to 1.5 million vaccine-preventable deaths annually."

Is that worldwide or in the US
Apr 7, 2020, 12:53 PM

Probably worldwide, right? I'm thinking this may be more of an issue in other countries.

lesser developed countries don't have health databases

so it is designed primarily for these kind of situations.
Would be crazy to see this implemented en masse worldwide though, and which countries would push for the on-person method.
One advantage of on-person is if you lose/misplace the paper record, no need to worry, lol.

much to my wife's chagrin, I agree that it is not the plague

I have a feeling a significant number of people, probably a 10x multiplier, have had it and simply recovered at home. We'll never know unless we did a lot of random antibody testing, and infer from the data what percentage has immunity.
The question is whether or not we should track who has been vaccinated. Does this illness fall into the same category as polio, mmr, etc?
