shapes up. Their brand is going to diminish a lot. Oh, and if some ACC schools step up in football also, then the SEC brand will deflate immensely in regards to it being used against Clemson.

Its not Clemson.....its the ACC. The conference is the drag. The people here want to see everything as Clemson when it is the schedule.....the limelight (see Wake and Duke home games) the media attention , thats what recruits see. Clemson sells itself but like a beautiful single mom with 9 bratty kids...it has the ACC baggage..

this is silliness personified.
The SEC brand is the premier league in college football because of the success, staduims, environments and fanbases of the schools in the SEC.
Those are the reality of college football..every Saturday night in the SEC has a huge game in a storied venue with sold-out crowds.
The ACC has FSU-Clemson in the those years when Clemson is able to field a highly-ranked team.
This is akin to claiming that the Yankees\Dodgers are only better than Pawtucket\Durham because they are in MLB.

He's saying that the MNC Alabama Crimson Tide has to pull out the conference affiliation card to TRY to sway the number defensive tackle in the nation to their side. That's all ANY SEC can pull to sway a Clemson commit.

My post was joking, but it WAS NOT ABOUT ACC VS SEC. In fact, it wasn't about the ACC at all. It was simply stating the obvious...Clemson has built in advantages in attracting recruits. ANYONE who has ever witnessed God's country first hand will understand. You, obviously have not.

Yeah because Ole Miss has had so much success, Auburn had a horrible year but they are doing fine, and Florida got there ##### waxed by a future member of the ACC.
And you can thank Bama, and more importantly Nick Saban for that "success" you speak of.

The Clemson games are the real deal. The away games at Duke, Boston College and soon to be Pittsburgh (nasty stadium at best) is not. Schedule 12 home games a season and its a winner.

I wasn't talking about playing away games at BC or Pitt. I was talking about the beauty of Clemson. I was talking about the family atmosphere (not just words) at Clemson. I was talking about a place where young adults LOVE living for 4 years. I was talking about a home, not just a football team.
