Everybody healthy, with the knowledge that they have an actual opportunity in the postseason
With Pitt and Carolina both looking like quality opportunities now, maybe we could sneak in as a 2-loss non conference champ
I mean, Miami lost to GT. Teams lose every week. We had a worse outing in both of our losses, which is a setback. But there’s just more leeway now.

Put down the pipe.
There aren't any dominant teams this year and everyone seems to be able to lose on any given week. It reminds me of the parity in the NFL where a wild card team can and does win Super bowls; looking at you ELi Manning.
Someone in the 6-12 range will make a run in the playoffs; book it.

Nobody nationally is going to consider Pitt a quality win anymore after getting smoked by SMU and losing to a very average Virginia team at home.

no team that cant consistently provide protection for FG attempts is going to be a playoff contender. Our offense still struggled against a Va tech defense that is not very good. Against USUC the field goal protection is a major concern as well as our ability to keep Cade upright.

Respectfully, I'll disagree.
This team is too inconsistent. It's not about Jimmy and Joe's, so much as X's and O's. We have the bodies (meaning player development, team leadership, team cohesiveness, maturity, etc... is lacking).
If everything fell into to place does this team have the talent to win a NC? Yes, of course.
As for South Carolina (we don't play "Carolina" this year) they look better than last year, so IF they beat Mizzou and Wofford you have a point. Same for Pitt.
Mentally, I don't think we're quite there though. Coaches like Brent Venables and Matt Luke make it look easy, and we don't have enough of them on our staff for me to think we're capable of that type of run.

This is clearly not a playoff team but it is young enough to be Coached into one in another season or two.
