For 300 lbs. he was quick as a cat for the first 5 steps, into the back field or sideline to sideline.

Etienne is by far the quickest out of the backfield I've seen. Although Sammy may have the quickest first steps.

Although Sammy in the open field could turn on the jets too.

Jacoby, without a doubt. He could out run CJ Spiller.

At least as of today. I mean, I can't believe that I was the only one to notice how he caught up with Feaster on his breakaway TD run, he actually slowed down and trotted right behind him. I'd have to go back and look, but at one time I think he actually hopped on one leg for a few steps, then skipped a few more, and then ran backwards. That dude is FAST! Surely I wasn't the only German to see this?

Then Flagler and Spiller, but Mike Bellamy(who didn't last long) was scary fast too.

Ford was with out a doubt the fastest. I saw him run out in front of CJ to block and is combine was lighting fast. 4.28 or something. Sammy was fast but even he ran like a 4.3 something. Tee looks really fast but I think he's in the 4.3 range. Ford was definitely the fastest. Unless there were some guys in the 90's or 80's that I don't know about.

CJ Spiller maybe the fastest player I have ever seen in pads.

Spiller hands down. All you have to do is look at that run vs Auburn in that Chick-Fil-A bowl. I've never seen someone get to the endzone so quickly from 80+ yards lol.
Sidenote: I always thought Derrick Hamilton had blazing game speed.

Jacoby Ford was the only person who could keep up with Spiller on kick returns, Ford would always be jogging beside him going in the endzone
I would say Ford. My honorable mention would be Bellamy, he had a different kind of speed
