When we won 2 National championships or does he only run the offense and call plays when we suck? 🤣

Neither. But he does direct the coordinators on how aggressive or conservative he wants them to be during games. During our two national championship runs we were blowing everyone out. Almost every game was over by halftime.
Nowadays he gets a lead and "just trys to hang on" (Dabos own words going into the 4th quarter of the USuC game.) Essentially handcuffing the offense

I think the implication there is a false dichotomy ...

Plenty of people have accurately noted that it's possible to employ bad/questionable game planning and/or play-calling, and yet still overcome that with an overwhelming talent gap. I myself (and others) have said this, and I explicitly said so during some of those dominant years. So, it's not a matter of simply kicking Dabo when he's "down" ("down" in relative terms, that is - as this is still a good year), but rather, it's a matter of acknowledging good or bad in a way that goes beyond simply the W/L record.
It's also worth noting that when people make these criticisms after wins, and/or during superb seasons, the retort is typically something like "see, you're not even happy when we win!" -- which is non-sequitor tripe, but is still a tacit acknowledgment that the critics aren't simply churning out their observations when times are rough.

So you are saying that Dabo was responsible for controlling the offense when we won those National championships but the reason he can't replicate it is bc he doesn't currently have the talent on the field to overcome when he makes mistakes now?

I was very clear about what I said. I'm saying that, and nothing more... Namely, that when we had more talent, we had more margin for error, and thus that similar play-calling mistakes to the ones we see now could be made without as much impact on wins and losses. This is a general truth that applies generally to any team, and it's a relative statement, not a categorical one - you can get away with more when there margin for error is wider. It's not a statement of categorical or sole blame for everything on one aspect or element.
I didn't make, and don't embrace any categorical, sweeping statements about CDS "controlling the offense" any point current or prior. I don't know precisely what the nature and extent of his offensive involvement has been over the years. I have mild suspicions, but I don't know for sure. However, he is responsible on one level or another since he's the boss. He's either making decisions affirmatively, allowing the passively, or participating in some partial manner.
So would I agree that CDS "was responsible for controlling the offense" at this or that time? No, that goes further than what I'm saying, and it's not very clear either. Am I saying Clemson has less talent now than then? Yes, but this is not to say we don't have good talent now - just less than then. I also am not claiming the overall dated l difference in results can be reduced to one thing, a la "THE reason he can't replicate it..."
