Why hasn't anyone mentioned Baylor as a possibility

Jul 23, 2021, 1:42 PM

for the ACC?

They have had some strong football teams in the recent past, and just won the national championship in basketball.

They have good academics.

They bring Texas TV markets to the table.

They probably want to escape the Big XII given the recent developments.

They pose a large travel distance, but so does Notre Dame. Besides, Miami to Boston College is also a really long trip. So traveling to Waco wouldn't be the only long trip in the ACC.

They are Baptists, so they probably won't say hi at the liquor store. ;)

Small private school like Wake, Duke and BC...

Do we really need/want another one and if so, what do they really add?

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Baylor has about 20,000 students.

I don’t consider that small.

I don't disagree with that.***

Baylor was really putting big $$ into football until they got hammered over Freeze.
They will start to rise again.
