Color, why all the pushback in going from purple to navy blue? That's much less noticeable than going to green, red, white and blue, with stars and stripes.

Because Clemson does not have Navy connections (no Navy ROTC) and Air Force blue is for the Air Force Academy. You could get your Navy Blue at UofSC because they have NROTC.

We had Navy Blue (or Dark Blue) before we wore Regalia (dark purple). I remember the anniversary uniform that the Tigers wore when Tommy West was the coach……

that has ROTC at Clemson. And is the baseball team honoring the USA, or are they honoring the ROTC at Clemson? I got no problem with honoring either one, but why not Navy blue. Your rationale was ########.

I was in the Navy for 8.5 years. My "Navy Blue" uniform was black. My uniforms came in 3 different colors - white, black and khaki.
Navy blue is actually black, at least in the navy it is.

This is a true statement. Navy blue is actually black in the Navy. For dress uniforms it's White, Black, and Khaki. For work the Navy now wears the same green camo that the Marines wear (or used to). Such ugly work uniforms for the Navy. They should go back to the old work uniforms. They were comfortable and made sense.
